Welcome to Day 1c of the HPT Golden Gates Main Event
The Heartland Poker Tour Golden Gates $1,650 Main Event sees its third and final flight Saturday.
Like both flights to precede it, Day 1c is scheduled for a noon start. The first two days brought a total of 230 entries, and many more are expected to be seen inside the Golden Gates Poker Parlour for action this afternoon.
As for the happenings through the first two starting flights, 38 players have already found their way into Sunday’s Day 2. Day 1a chip leader Aaron Frei (408,000) leads the way, with the top two stacks from Day 1b in Jason Su (381,000) and Bobby Sanoubane (341,000) rounding out the top three in the counts.
Day 1c will again see entrants receive starting stacks of 30,000. Levels will last 40 minutes each with 15-minute breaks after every three levels and a 60-minute dinner break after Level 9. Unlimited re-entries are available through the dinner break until the beginning of Level 10 at approximately 7:30 p.m. local time, with play concluding upon the completion of Level 15 (2,000/4,000/4,000).
Former HPT Golden Gates champions Alex Greenblatt and Austin Peck as well as others like Jeff Fielder, Jon Cohen and Jackson White are among those to have tried their hand and failed to advance through one or both of the first two starting flights. A few of them and more are expected to be seen taking their shot at this final opportunity to advance on Day 1c.
