Brent Cunningham limped in on the button, and Laura Hoppe jammed for 520,000 in the small blind. Cunningham snapped Hoppe off after Kevin Garosshen folded in the big blind.

Cunningham held the goods, but Hoppe still had hope with her ace. The 
flop kept Cunningham out in front, and the 
turn left Hoppe looking for a three-outer to survive. The 
river instead filled Hoppe up, and Hoppe, who started the day as the short stack, held her head high as she shook hands with her opponents and left the tournament area.

Brett Apter was able to more than triple his last 55,000 in chips up one hand after the monster hand with Laura Hoppe, then got his new 265,000 chip stack in preflop the very next hand against Brent Cunningham.

After folding his big blind, Apter three-bet shoved for 480,000 from the small blind over a raise from Kevin Garosshen on the button. Garosshen called.
