The Irish Open Main Event has now reached the unofficial final table. Players are taking their seats.
Benny Glaser was the final player to leave before the tournament converged into one last table. It all happened when small blind Declan Rice raised from the small blind to 700,00 into Glaser's big blind. Glaser then moved in for all of his 5,075,000 chips.
After getting an exact count, Rice reflected upon the situation for a good while before ultimately putting in the call. Glaser was at risk to become the final table bubble but turned out to be a big favorite to double up.

The players traded outs as the dealer spelled out 10?Q?8? in front of the cameras, but Rice was the only one who was also drawing to the bottom end of the straight.
The turn 2? was a big blank, but disaster struck Glaser on the river as it fell 9?, giving Rice a straight to the queen. Glaser's ace-high was no good, and he walked to the payout area as the other nine players are taking a small break while the televised final table is being prepared.

Shortly after being moved from the outer table to the TV table, Carl Shaw three-bet all in for 2,000,000 chips from the small blind after David Docherty had made it 500,000 to go from the button. Doherty felt priced in and made the call, putting Shaw's short stack at risk.

board, but had to sweat a turned gutshot straight draw of his opponent when the 
turn was dealt.
Luckily for him, the

Just after the elimination of 11th place, Carl Shaw opened to 500,000 from under the gun. The action folded around to Panagiotis Mavritsakis in the small blind, who went all-in for 4,400,000. Shaw immediately slammed a stack of chips in the middle for a call. Mavritsakis was at risk to be the final table bubble.

Mavritsakis was in dire shape, with Shaw's pocket jacks absolutely crushing his holding. The flop brought some hope in the form of a gutshot straight draw:

meant that the two would now chop if Mavritsakis hit his draw, but it did give him two new clean outs.
The river was put out and the whole table was shocked as Mavritsakis rivered trips to crack the jacks of Shaw. Shaw stood up and grumbled to himself about how he had been waiting for a spot like this for four days straight, and how it all had gone array.
Shaw did not get a lot of time to grieve the loss of his chips as he was immediately moved to the feature table to balance the final ten players.
