It promises to be a day full of action at the Royal Dublin Society as Day 2 of the 1,150 2023 Irish Open Main Event is set to kick off. Play will commence at noon local time with at least 930 returning players, although that number is sure to grow as late registration is still open until the shuffle up and deal has been called.

The four starting flights of the 2023 Irish Open Main Event saw 2,323 players create a prize pool of 2,264,925, already more than doubling the original 1,000,000 guarantee. Players who decide to enter at the start of Day 2 will receive 30,000 chips, which equates to 25 big blinds to play with. They will have some catching up to do to chip leader David Docherty who bagged 405,300, over 13 starting stacks, on Day 1b.
