Getting to Know You: Andre Akkari

After downloading online poker software in an effort to research the industry, Akkari was hooked. He soon started playing online at PokerStars and has since collected over $500,000 in career tournament earnings, both online and live.
Akkari has reach over 90 final tables in his short poker-playing career and has amassed an enormous fan base in both Brazil and the rest of the world.
When not at the poker table, Akkari spends his free time playing soccer, watching movies and spending quality time with his wife and kids. You can also catch Andre providing expert poker commentary on ESPN Brazil.
Akkari is still alive in the main event and is currently sitting with just under 50,000 in chips.
