Who Will Be the First Champion of the Latin American Poker Tour Season 5?
Day 4 of the Latin American Poker Tour Chile will kick off in a little under an hour and won’t stop until a winner is determined. For the past five days, the Enjoy Casino & Resort in Vina del Mar has played host to the LAPT’s first Main Event of Season 5, which drew 651 entrants and created a prize pool of $651,840.
Yesterday, the final 32 players whittled themselves down to just eight fairly quickly. The eliminations were fast furious, until the last one when Leonardo Olivares raised to 120,000 in the cutoff, and after the button and small blind folded, Pedro Frankel moved all in from the big for 425,000 total. Olivares called and Frankel turned over , which was off to the races against the of Olivares.
The players and railbirds were on their feet as the flop came out . Olivares had paired his king to take the lead and left Frankel in need of some major help. The turn certainly wasn't it, and neither was the turn. Frankel was dispatched in ninth place for $10,690 and the LAPT Chile final table was set.
