Melogno Sliding

Marcelo Ramos Da Fonseca raised to 86,000 on the button. He was called by both players in the blinds, leading to a {Q-Clubs}{6-Hearts}{6-Diamonds} flop.

All three players checked and did the same on the {K-Spades} turn. The {2-Diamonds} hit the river and Pablo Joaquin Melogno bet 85,000. Angel Guillen folded, but Ramos Da Fonseca raised to 203,000. Melogno called, but mucked when Ramos Da Fonseca tabled {A-Diamonds}{K-Diamonds}.

Perfecting the Art of the Double Up

We've watched as Angel Guillen has found a way to double his stack countless times during this tournament, and this instance was no different. Guillen raised to 80,000 from the cutoff and Pablo Joaquin Melogno announced all in from the big blind. Guillen called for his last 726,000 and the hands were tabled:

Guillen: {A-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}
Melogno: {K-Clubs}{Q-Diamonds}

Guillen retained his lead on the {3-Spades}{8-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} flop and watched on as the {9-Clubs} turned. Fifth street was the {4-Clubs} and Guillen's ace-jack high was the best hand, resulting in yet another double up for the Team PokerStars Pro.

Another Double For Angel

Francisco Baruffi Neto opened to 90,000 from the cutoff and Angel Guillen moved all in from the big blind for 368,000 total. Baruffi Neto called and the hands were shown.

Baruffi Neto: {K-Spades}{10-Hearts}
Guillen: {5-Diamonds}{5-Spades}

The two players were off to the races and Baruffi Neto jumped out to an early lead on the {K-Clubs}{2-Spades}{Q-Diamonds} flop. The rail replied with a collective "Awwww" when Baruffi Neto spiked the king. The noise of the crowd, however, turned immediately into a "Yeah!" when the {5-Clubs} peeled off on the turn, giving Guillen a set of fives. The board finished with the {8-Clubs} and Guillen was able to double up yet again.

Luca's Tanking Becoming an Issue

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Ivan Luca has been notorious during this tournament for taking a remarkably long time to make decisions. Up until this point it has not been an issue. However, Luca has had the clock called on him twice during this final table. Most recently, action folded around to him in the small blind and he pondered his action for over a minute.

Francisco Baruffi Neto was waiting in the big blind and called the clock on him. Luca casually leaned back in his chair and stared at the clock, waiting for the full sixty seconds to pass, forcing the dealer to muck Luca's hand. Floor staff responded that if he keeps up this action he will be put on a thirty second clock.
