Montoya Calls Bluff to Bust Nguyen

Ivan Tevar Montoya raised to 500 from under the gun and picked up two callers before Viet Anh Nguyen three-bet to 2,000. Montoya called and so did one other player.

The flop came 2?6?7?. Action checked to Nguyen, who made it 4,000 to go. Only Montoya made the call. The turn was the 8?. Montoya checked and Nguyen pushed all in for 8,300, less than a pot sized bet.

Montoya went into the tank before making the call. Nguyen had J?10? for a bluff with a backdoor straight draw. Montoya turned over 6?4? for a pair of sixes and also had backdoor outs.

The river came the 5?, which completed Montoya's straight. He won the pot and Nguyen was eliminated.
