Pedro Rios won his second event here at the Lone Star Poker Series on Friday night as he took down Event #12: The Ultimate Monster NLH for $9,447 to add to his title that he won in Event #6: Limit Omaha 8 Championship.

The Ultimate Monster attracted 102 entries and created a prizepool of $33,150. After almost 13 hours of play it was Rios who overcame a roller coaster final table to win the grand prize.

Heads up play vs Brandon Guzman was particularly rocky as both players looked to be down and out a couple of times before rallying. Rios at one point was down to his final card, before rivering a straight to stay alive and eventually overcoming Guzman.

Rios Finishes off Guzman

Level 22 (75,000/150,000/150,000)

Pedro Rios raised to 650,000 preflop and Brandon Guzman called.

The flop came {6-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}. Guzman quickly lead jammed all in and was snap called by Rios.

Guzman had the [jh3j] while Rios was miles ahead as he had the {k-Hearts}{4-Clubs} for top pair.

The turn was the {5-Spades} to open up straight possibilities but the river extinguished those hopes as the {7-Clubs} came off to eliminate Guzman in 2nd place.

Clogston Calls Whole Board

Level 20 (50,000/100,000/100,000)

Don Iyengar was all in with the {a-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} against the {j-Spades}{j-Hearts} of Troy Clogston.

Clogston called for a 8-9-10 rainbow flop and sure enough the {8-Spades}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs} came down.

Clogston called for the {4-Spades} on the river and lo and behold the dealer procured the {4-Spades} on the turn.

At this point the table was reacting wildly to Clogston's wild ability to call the board. And asked him what was coming next. With no hesitation he said the {2-Hearts}.

The river came the {2-Hearts} and the room erupted in disbelief, everyone saying they had never see the entire board called before. Iyengar was eliminated amongst the commotion.

The flop came down {7-Clubs}{k-Spades}{9-Spades} harmlessly. But the turn was the {10-Spades} to give Ajlouny the lead. The river was the {6-Clubs} and Jopio was eliminated in 8th place.
