Groppi and Abida Win Big Pots
A hand that could have went far more ballistic saw Ali Mechiche open and then just call a three-bet by Abdenbi Abida from one seat over. The board ran out and Mechiche's kings ended up second best to the of Abida. Even Fahd was impressed that Mechiche had not gone broke in the spot.
Then, Henrique Pinho opened from early position and [Removed:215] in the small blind as well as Mathieu Papineau in the big blind called. On the flop all three players checked. The turn saw Groppi check-raise to 250,000 and Papineau, who had bet 80,000, flat-called while Pinho folded.
On the river, Groppi made it 350,000 to go for most of the stack of Papineau and the latter folded after a staring contest of the two players with headphones next to each other. Papineau revealed his for two pair and was shown for a successful bluff by Groppi.
