Final Table of the MCOP Main Event; Who Will Walk Away With €260,878 and the "Bordje" Tonight?

Steve O'Dwyer
Steve O'Dwyer

At 3 p.m. local time, the final table of the €4,300 Main Event is scheduled to start in Holland Casino Amsterdam. The marquee event of the Master Classics of Poker attracted 346 entries which made it the third biggest ever Main Event in its 26-year history. This created a total prize pool of €1,370,160 with the eventual winner walking away with €260,878, the title, the bragging rights, and the well-known trophy plate knows as a "bordje".

All nine players are guaranteed at least €25,485 but will all be geared up to try and be the last player still seated at the beautiful final table at the end of the day. As is traditional during the MCOP during the final table of the Main Event, each player will get their own walk-on as they get introduced while the song of their choice is being played. This spectacle is sure to attract all the attention of the whole casino as the final table is placed right on the main casino floor with all the table games surrounding it.

The two most well-known players with the most lifetime cashes in live poker tournaments according to The Hendon Mob is Steve O'Dwyer followed by Ole Schemion. Shyngis Satubayev follows them but these three players are coming into the day as the shortest stacks so have got some work ahead of them. But with the vast experience amongst them, they can't be discounted by their opponents.

Pascal Vos, Kevin Paqué, and Johan Rensink finished on the podium on Day 3 and are flying the Dutch flag to try and keep the title on home soil. Vos used to travel the poker circuit, collecting cashes all over the world but has mainly played in the Netherlands over the past years. On the other hand, Paqué only has Dutch flags on his Hendon Mob profile but might spread out his wings with a good result today. Nowadays, Rensink considers himself a recreational player but he is one of the old-school gang of poker players who were there from the start of the poker craze in the Netherlands.

Paraskevas Tsokaridis comes into the day fourth in chips. He will be trying to add another major title for the Greeks this year after three others won a bracelet earlier this year. Frederico Silva has spent most of his time on the feature table already and will feel right at home there. Jan Bednar quickly built up his stack on Day 3 but lost some of those hard-earned chips when he got moved to the spotlight. He will be looking to turn things around after a good night's rest.

This is what they are still playing for:
