The survivors from four starting flights will combine today at the Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino for Day 2 of the 2023 Merit Poker Gangster Series $2,200 Warm Up starting at 12:30 p.m. local time.

While the turbo Day 1d flight is currently underway, Dmitry Yurasov holds the current overall chip lead going into Day 2 with 866,000 chips, worth 346 big blinds. Yurasov is the only player across the first three starting flights to bag over 300 big blinds, and is most closely followed by Day 1a chip leader Mustafa Sancak (592,500) and Sergey Baranski (581,000).

A total of 322 entries have already played the event across the first three starting flights, with 153 players advancing to Day 2. That number will increase as players can still register in today's turbo Day 1d that is currently underway and can even late register and reenter up until the end of Level 12 during today's Day 2, which should be around 5:00 p.m. local time. The prize pool will then be announced.

Blinds will begin today on Level 9 at 1,000/2,500 with a 2,500 big blind ante. Eight further hour-long levels are scheduled to be played today, with a 10-minute break after every two levels. Information regarding whether or not there will be a dinner break will be available shortly after the tournament begins.
