It's time for Day 2 of the Merit Poker Retro Series $2,200 Warm Up. In a retro ambiance complete with decor and staff dressed in styles reminiscent of the 1940s and 1950s, poker players from around the globe have converged at the Merit Crystal Cove Hotel and Casino in North Cyprus to play poker in the middle of the summer.

During the four Day 1 of the $2,200 Warm Up event that started on Monday, August 7th, a total of 641 entrants were registred, with 316 players successfully advancing to Day 2. Among these players, it was Roman Gadzhiev who emerged as the chipleader with 779,500 chips. Following closely behind, Alessio Isaia was the only other player with more than 700,000 chips (745,500).

Day 2 will kick off at 12:30 local time on Level 9 (1,000/2,500 Big Blind Ante 2,500), with 60-minute levels. There will be 20-minute breaks every two levels. The number of entrants will continue to increase, as late registrations will close at the end of Level 12. Also, players eliminated can start again the tournament with a 100,000-chip starting stack as many times as they want, as unlimited reentries are allowed.
