Gary Miller Eliminated in 4th Place (4,800)

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Gary Miller
Gary Miller

Rungarun Thongnonsung opened 320,000 with {j-Clubs}{8-Spades} and Gary Miller moved all in for 1,715,000 with {a-Diamonds}{9-Hearts} on the button.

Valdir Santos looked down to see pocket {j-Spades}{j-Diamonds} and took his time before moving all in over the top. Neither [Removed:148] or Thongnonsung wanted to play any more and Miller was drawing to three outs.

There was a jack on the {3-Clubs}{j-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}, which was a fantastic flop for Santos and he improved from set to full house on the {2-Clubs} turn. The {3-Spades} river made no difference to the outcome and all of a sudden, the tournament is down to the last three players.

Justin Bateson Eliminated in 5th Place (3,700)

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Justin Bateson
Justin Bateson

It is all over for Justin Bateson, with his second close attempt at taking a Platinum Pass coming to an end.

Valdir Santos opened {a-Clubs}{10-Diamonds} on the cutoff to 365,000 and Justin Bateson three-bet all in to 1,685,000 with {a-Spades}{6-Hearts}, which Santos snap-called].

One six had already been folded, so there were just two live outs for Bateson, neither of which were anywhere to be seen on the {3-Diamonds}{5-Clubs}{8-Spades}{q-Clubs}{k-Clubs} board and he finishes in a very respectable 5th place.

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante
Sinead Priestly
Sinead Priestly

It has come to an end for Sinead Priestley. Starting the table in the bottom half of the chip counts, she has managed to ladder well until this point.

Unfortunately for her, she couldn't win the last flip with {10-Clubs}{9-Clubs}, which she shipped from under the gun. She was called by Rungarun Thongnonsung who held {6-Spades}{6-Diamonds} and the pair held through the {q-Spades}{3-Clubs}{q-Hearts}{5-Spades}{4-Spades} board.

Miller Bets Pot, Ahmed Calls Ace-High

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

[Removed:148] opened {a-Spades}{6-Clubs} and Gary Miller, who was sat with under 20 big blinds at this point defended {q-Hearts}{10-Spades} in the blinds.

There was no betting on the {j-Clubs}{3-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} flop. Picking up a straight draw on the {9-Diamonds} turn and he opted to lead for 380,000, which Ahmed called. The {k-Clubs} completed the board and Miller bet exactly pot, with Ahmed calling the 1,610,000 bet with just ace-high.

Ahmed and Thongnonsung Tussle Over Bottom Pair

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Rungarun Thongnonsung limped {k-Hearts}{2-Hearts} under the gun and [Removed:148] raised to 450,000 in the small blind with {4-Diamonds}{2-Spades}. Justin Bateson came along from the big blind with {8-Clubs}{7-Hearts} and Thongnonsung joined them.

A continuation bet of 500,000 on the {3-Hearts}{2-Diamonds}{9-Spades} flop got Bateson to fold but not Thongnonsung. The 800,000 barrel on the {3-Clubs} turn did though and Ahmed's stack is worth almost half the chips in play.

Santos Doubles Through Miller

Level 31 : 80,000/160,000, 160,000 ante

Valdir Santos was down to six big blinds at the start of the hand, with two of them going into the ante and big blind. It folded to Gary Miller who set him all in blind v blind with {k-Clubs}{6-Clubs} and Santos called with a dominating {k-Spades}{j-Hearts}.

On the {7-Hearts}{j-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop, it was looking very good for Santos, improving to top pair and leaving Miller with only a runner-runner straight draw. It was all over by the {q-Clubs} turn, with the {q-Diamonds} river making no difference.

Duncan Mackie Eliminated in 7th Place (2,400)

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 120,000 ante
Duncan Mackie
Duncan Mackie

Justin Bateson raised to 350,000 with {a-Hearts}{j-Spades} under the gun and Duncan Mackie defended his big blind with {k-Clubs}{10-Hearts}.

On the {2-Spades}{a-Clubs}{j-Hearts} flop, Mackie checked and Bateson quickly checked back with top two pair. On the {k-Spades} turn, Mackie had improved to second pair and he moved all in for 2,100,000, which Bateson couldn't call quick enough.

Mackie sighed when he saw the bad news and the he didn't find one of his six outs on the {9-Diamonds} river, sending him out the door.
