Tom Orpaz sat down for his first hand at the conclusion of the break and raised to 2,800 from late position before Ping Liu called from the next seat over. Sam Soverel tossed in chips from the big blind to see a flop and it was A?Q?8?.

Soverel checked and Orpaz bet 3,500 to a quick call from Liu. Soverel folded and action was heads up.

Both remaining players checked the 10? turn and the 5? river before Orpaz turned over 9?9? and announced his flush. Liu tossed the losing hand in the muck and Orpaz took the pot.
