Negreanu Update
Farhad Saadat limped in middle position only to have Daniel Negreanu make it 16,000 to go from the button. Saadat, an older gentleman, began chatting with Negreanu, who told him he had the opportunity to check in the dark first. Saadat laughed, made the call, and actually checked in the dark before the flop came down .
Negreanu followed suit and checked behind, which both players continued to do when the hit the turn. Saadat decided to bet 30,000 when the peeled off on the river, and Negreanu hesitantly called. Saadat flipped and Negreanu, who dropped to 230,000, quietly mucked.
A few hands later, an under-the-gun player raised to 14,000 and Negreanu, who was next to act, smooth-called. Everyone else got out of the way and it was heads up to the flop. The UTG player checked, Negreanu bet 20,000, and a fold ensued.
"We're you coming before the flop?" Negreanu asked, indicating he had a monster. The answer wasn't clear but Negreanu showed his pocket kings nonetheless.
