Kenney Makes Two Pair

Level 10 : 12,000/24,000, 24,000 ante

Although Bryn Kenney started off Day 2 on a high, things quickly turned sour when he ran a bluff that went wrong against Alexandru Papazian's rivered flush. Ever since, Kenney has been trying to claw his way back, hopefully avoiding another re-entry.

On a flop reading {9-Clubs}{8-Spades}{3-Clubs}, Benjamin Pollak led out from the big blind for 85,000 into a pot of around 140,000. Kenney made the call from the cutoff and the {a-Clubs} landed on the turn. Both players checked to the {q-Diamonds} on the river. Pollak made a large overbet of 330,000 and Kenney quickly called.

Pollak tabled {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds} for a pair of eights and Kenney took down the pot with two pair, holding {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}. Kenney has now climbed back over the starting stack heading into the first break of the day.
