Romanello Doubles Up

Level 32 : 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Roberto Romanello limped in from the small blind and Daniel Dvoress raised to 4.2 million in the big blind. Romanello called and the dealer spread the flop of {q-Spades}{6-Hearts}{2-Clubs}. Romanello check-called a bet of 3.5 million and the {10-Clubs} landed on the turn.

Both players tapped the table and the {q-Diamonds} paired the board on the river. Romanello slid in a bet of 10.2 million and Dvoress made the call. Romanello just sent his cards to the muck and Dvoress took the pot without having to show.

In the last hand before the break, Mustapha Kanit limped in from the small blind and Romanello checked his option. The flop came {q-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{4-Diamonds} and the two players got all of the chips in the middle with Romanello being at risk for 24.8 million. Kanit flopped top pair with {q-Clubs}{j-Diamonds} but Romanello flopped two pair with {8-Diamonds}{4-Clubs}. The {k-Diamonds} on the turn and the {4-Spades} on the river only improved Romanello to a full house as he scored a double up.

Kanit Scores Back-to-Back Doubles

Level 32 : 600,000/1,200,000, 1,200,000 ante

Mustapha Kanit just recently doubled up through Roberto Romanello with ace-jack against Romanello's king-queen and then he was willing to risk his stack again against Daniel Dvoress. The Canadian raised to 4.6 million in the small blind and Kanit shoved all in for 39.3 million in the big blind. Dvoress asked for a count and then made the call.

Dvoress tabled {k-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and Kanit was pleased to see that he held a slight advantage with {a-Clubs}{4-Hearts}. The flop came {a-Diamonds}{k-Hearts}{q-Spades} to give Dvoress the lead with two pair, but the {4-Clubs} on the turn improved Kanit to a better two pair. The {6-Diamonds} on the river changed nothing and Kanit doubled up to narrow the gap between the two players.

Romanello Pushing the Action

Level 31 : 500,000/1,000,000, 1,000,000 ante

Roberto Romanello has been the most aggressive out of the three players but it cost him in the early going as he fell to around 30 million chips. However, Mustapha Kanit limped in from the small blind and Romanello bumped it up to 3.5 million in the big blind. Kanit called and both players checked the flop of {k-Spades}{9-Clubs}{4-Diamonds}.

The {a-Spades} landed on the turn and Kanit checked again. Romanello slid in a bet of 4.5 million and Kanit stuck around for the {8-Hearts} on the river. Kanit quickly checked and Romanello announced a bet of 12.1 million. Kanit used a time extension and then tossed in a single chip to call. Romanello turned over {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} for two pair and Kanit mucked his cards.

Justin Bonomo Eliminated in 4th Place

Level 30 : 400,000/800,000, 800,000 ante
Justin Bonomo
Justin Bonomo

Three players saw a flop of {q-Hearts}{6-Spades}{3-Hearts} and the action checked to Justin Bonomo in the cutoff who bet 2 million. Daniel Dvoress check-raised to 6 million from the small blind and Mustapha Kanit quickly folded from the big blind. Bonomo called and the {5-Hearts} peeled off on the turn.

Dvoress led out for another 8.5 million and Bonomo moved all in for around 19.1 million. Dvoress quickly called and turned over {6-Hearts}{4-Hearts} for a flush. Bonomo tabled {a-Clubs}{q-Spades} but was already drawing dead to the {4-Diamonds} on the river. Dvoress scooped the pot to increase his chip lead while Bonomo headed to the rail in fourth place.

Big Pot Poker

Level 29 : 350,000/700,000, 700,000 ante

Justin Bonomo and Roberto Romanello just recently chopped a pot of over 30 million and the two were right back at it clashing again. Bonomo opened to 1.4 million on the button and Romanello three-bet to 5.9 million from the small blind. Bonomo called and the flop came {q-Spades}{8-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

Romanello continued for 6.6 million but Bonomo still called as the {2-Spades} landed on the turn. Both players checked this time and the {a-Diamonds} completed the board. Romanello burned through a time extension before announcing a bet of 12.1 million. Bonomo thought for a few seconds but elected to send his cards to the muck.
