Anderson Scores a Double KO to Take the Lead
The cards were already spread out on the table and the dealer just announced, "Two seats open!" as two players stood up from their chairs. The board read and Ognjen Sekularac and Sorel Mizzi were walking away from the table.
"Bust," Sekularac said to one of his friends at a table next door. Sekularac had his face up on the table but on the other side was Calvin Anderson with . Mizzi's cards were already in the muck but it would be tough to beat the full house of Anderson anyway. It was a classic big blind special for Anderson who cracked the big hands of Sekularac and Mizzi at the same time.
"That was a small pot," one player at the table said in sarcasm. Anderson stacked his heaps of chips and has taken over the chip lead with around 4.8 million. Nobody from Day 1a even cracked the 4 million chip mark and Anderson is within striking distance of the 5 million chip mark with around 90 minutes left in the day.
