Tsoukernik Spikes a One Outer in a Massive Pot
The action on Day 3 got started with a bang and Leon Tsoukernik was jumping in celebration just moments into the first level. When we arrived at the table, the cards were spread across the felt and players were gathering around to see what all of the commotion was about. Well, it was definitely warranted!
The board read and there were three hands tabled. According to the table, all of the chips got in the middle on the flop and for good reason. Jason Koon was all in for a little over 6,000,000 with , Christopher Kruk was all in for around 9,500,000 with , and Leon Tsoukernik had both players covered with . Koon held the best hand on the flop with a set of eights, Kruk turned the best hand with the nut flush, but Tsoukernik rivered quads to eliminate both opponents.
"Yes! What a start!" Tsoukernik exclaimed as he clapped his hands. "I can't believe it!" Koon and Kruk were left shaking their heads as they left the table.
"I'll see you in the $250k," Kruk said.
Once Tsoukernik was awarded the pot, he had more to say. "How much was that pot, anyway? I'm the chipleader for sure!" Indeed Tsoukernik has moved into the chip lead for the time being. "They should have ordered coffee, too. They would still be here."
"I would like to change my order to a coffee," Jonathan Jaffe responded.
