The Final Day 1 Starting Flight Ends with 51 Players Moving On
The Day 1s have come to an end at the partypoker MILLIONS North America $5,300 Main Event. It was an abbreviated Day 1E that started in the evening and finished in the wee hours of the night. A total of 102 players took a seat at the felt with only 51 one of them finding a bag for Day 2. Asem Alsaadi from Edmonton, Alberta found the most success, bagging up a cool 4,595,000 chips.
Alsaadi was seen playing the earlier flight but was unable to make it through and thus jumped in the last starting flight possible. Some other big names moving on include Gerald Karlic (3,715,000), Cliff Josephy (2,385,000), Dan Heimiller (1,295,000), and Parker Talbot (995,000). Some of these players have chosen to come back early for Day 2A to give them more opportunities to run up a stack.
The final starting flight began at 8:00 PM EST just as Day 1D was coming to an end. The blinds were shortened to 40-minute levels but a full eight levels were still played. It was their last chance to run up a starting stack before the Day 2s began. For those that were unable to make it through, they will still have the opportunity for late registration on Day 2A and Day 2B for the first four levels.
