The World Cup of Cards usually takes place at The Playground Poker Club in Montreal, Canada, but the 2021 edition is heading online to partypoker. It is the first time the World Cup of Cards has been hosted online, and everything points to it being an excellent series.
June 16 through July 8 are the dates to put into your diary if you want to become a World Cup of Cards champion. A handful of the festival's events are showing in the partypoker lobby, and more will be added over the next few days.
The Grand Prix Knockout is one tournament ready and waiting for you to buy into. It kicks off the World Cup of Cards and comes with a $55 buy-in and a $250,000 guaranteed prize pool. There are more than two dozen starting flights between June 16 and June 24, spread across several time zones to give every partypoker player, not only Canadians, the chance to compete on the big stage.
A cut-price Mini Grand Prix Knockout runs alongside its larger cousin. It features a $50,000 guaranteed prize pool for a buy-in of only $5.50.
Those of you looking for even juicier prize pools need to look no further than the World Cup of Cards Main Event and Mini Main Event.
