WPT500 Knockout Day 1g Update

The late registration period of Day 1g of the WPT500 Knockoutp has just closed with 810 entries of which 430 players are still left in the field.

All those entries added $405,000 to the prize pool which means that the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool has already been surpassed as $676,000 was collected during the earlier starting flights to get to a total of $1,081,000 with another turbo starting flight taking place on Monday, March 22 at 5:05 p.m. GMT.

Day 1g will end when 15% of the field is left which in this case is when there are 122 players remaining.

One player that was excitedly awaiting the WPT500 last weekend on partypoker was Kristen Bicknell.

Having locked up her seat from one of the daily Day 1 she patiently awaited Day 2 that took place last Monday where she finished in 80th place for $2,016.

WPT500 Comes to partypoker

After the success of the WPT Online Series in May 2020, and the WPT World Online Championships in September 2020, the WPT500 is yet another major festival from the World Poker Tour running on partypoker. Bicknell says that this is all down to the relationship the two brands have built together over the past 12 months.

"I think the relationship that WPT and partypoker has built is absolutely fantastic! I fully support both brands, as they are both leaders in the industry and put on well-run series that cater to every poker player out there."

The festival has two Main Events with multiple Day 1s offering players a slice of a $1,000,000 guarantee each time. Bicknell says she was looking forward to both but told us she preferred the non-PKO event taking place last weekend.

"PKO's are tons of fun and add a different element to the game, but I find that the typical vanilla events feel more like 'true' tournament poker to me."

WPT500 Knockout Day 1g

In thirty minutes, Day 1g of the WPT500 Knockout will kick off to give players another shot at winning a share of the $1,000,000 guaranteed prize pool.

There are currently already over 130 players registered for this last starting flight with a normal structure of 12 minutes and late registration is possible until the end of Level 12. Players can reenter once if something goes wrong with their first bullet and play will end once 15% of the field is left.
