Checking in on the Mini Main Event

There are plenty of big names in action over in the $1,050 WPT WOC Mini Main Event.

Leading the 278/566 player field is Italia Mustapha Kanit, with the likes of Shawn Buchanan, Sergio Aido, Lars Kamphues and Anatoly Filatov not far behind him.

Like the Main Event, there's only a handful of minutes left of late registration in that one.

30 Minutes Left of Late Registration

With 175 of 331 players remaining, there is just 30 minutes of late registration remaining on day 1C of WPT World Online championships Main Event.

Familiar names towards the top of the counts are Steffan Johansen, Benjamin Rolle, Kenny Hallaert and Mike Watson - all of which sit with over a million in chips.

He Staples opened to 10,500 and Michael Addamo three-bet to 37,500. Staples called.

The flop was {9-Spades}{3-Diamonds}{2-Spades} and Addam continued for 19,593. Staples thought about it before calling, with the {k-Hearts} on the turn.

Addamo continued for 39,147 and Staples called again.

The river was the {7-Diamonds}. Addamo shoved for 134,668 into a pot of around 196,000 and Staples ultimately folded.

Recent Eliminations

Several players have all been eliminated from Day 1C of the WPT World Online Championships Main Event.

They include Sylvain Loosli, Niklas Astedt, Joao Vieira, partypoker Ambassador Patrick Leonard, Sami Kelopuro and Eelis Parssinen.

All players have the chance of a single re-entry, but Leonard has used both of his entries and is therefore out for good.
