Congratulations to "steveeee", Winner of Event #7: $30K GTD PKO 6-Max Bounty for $8,846

The partypoker US Network Progressive Knockout (PKO) Bounty Online Series has just had its first two-time winner of the series in Event #7: $30K GTD PKO 6-Max Bounty. A total of 95 runners showed up for this tournament and when the last chance saloon had closed for business it was a familiar face sitting in the winner's circle. "steveeee" was the last player standing, taking home a total of $8,846 for their win.

"steveeee" just became the first player to win two events in this series with both victories coming in similar situations. The two-time champ started each final table with a big stack and then proceeded to run over the competition. All the aggressive play really paid off in this bounty, collecting all but one bounty from the final table for a total of $5,025 in bounties alone, which was more than the overall first-place prize.

The second time "steveeee" got the chips in behind just happened to be the last hand of the night when their flopped pair of fives ran into the aces of "ScarletRaptor" but lady luck had a different plan, smashing the river with a nickel to secure the pot and win for "steveeee". Just one tournament remains in the series and it is almost a guarantee that "steveeee" will be making an appearance, chasing the three-time champ title.

Action of The Day

The biggest buy-in event of the series started off hot, having five tables to start the day which was higher than almost all of the tournaments thus far in the series and the action at the table was, as usual, blasting chips everywhere style. Although many sat down to start the tournament, only 95 ended up hitting the registration button, falling just shy of the $30,000 guarantee that was set.

When the late registration period had ended, it was determined that nine players were to the event and only 18 were left at the time to battle it out. It took what seemed like a minute to hit the money, having "Core4" drop "onoreally" as the bubble when the sevens of "onoreally" failed to holds versus ace-five that was held by "Core4". A few more players fell to the wayside and an official final table was set.

First to take an exit from the final table was "Core4" whose pair of sixes were bested by the rivered flush of "BigDickRick", sending "Core4" to the payout desk in sixth-place. Soon after it was "steveeee" who began to reign terror on the table, starting with Ryan “simlSgg” Hagerty who shoved queen-jack into the ace-queen of the champ. Hagerty flopped a straight draw but failed to hit, exiting in fifth.

The first river of the night hit by "steveeee" happened against Brian “TopCreature” Sherrier when Sherrier flopped top two and "steveeee" check-shoved with top pair and a gutter. Sherrier called and the gutter-ball landed on the river, sending Sherrier to the rail as "steveeee" collected another bounty. Just a few hands after it was "BigDickRick" taking a shot when action was folded to them in the small blind, shoving queen-nine and "steveeee" called with pocket sevens. "BigDickRick" failed to hit and was eliminated in third.

Heads-up was not a long sight, ending in just a matter of hands in what was one of the worst beats of the final table. ScarletRaptor had a pair of pocket aces on the six-high flop and "steveeee" pushed them all-in. A snap-call came from "ScarletRaptor" who was miles ahead of the pair of fives that they faced. That was until another five landed on the river, hitting "steveeee" with three nickels to win the tournament, making "ScarletRaptor" the runner-up.

The series is open to everybody in the state of New Jersey across the three platforms of partypoker US, Borgata Poker and BetMGM Poker.

That wraps it up for the PokerNews live coverage of this event, but tune in tomorrow for $100K GTD PKO 8-Max Main Event at 5 p.m. EST.
