Dinner Time

Level 4 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

It's dinner time for our six finalists, and they're going to get 70 minutes to enjoy themselves. Play will resume at 8:00 P.M.

Chen Jacked Up

Level 4 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Andrew Chen raised before the flop, and Michael Binger defended his big blind.

Heads up, the flop came {8-Diamonds} {K-Spades} {5-Hearts}, and both men checked to the {8-Hearts} turn. Binger checked again, and Chen took his cue to bet 5,000. Binger snuck in a check-raise to 14,500, and Chen gave him a quick staredown before splashing the calling chips into the pot.

That brought them to the {7-Spades} river, and both players reluctantly checked. Chen showed announced his {J-Clubs} {J-Spades}, then mentioned that he'd "kinda like to see" what his opponent had. That earned him Binger's {A-Spades} {2-Spades} being flipped over, and Chen's jacks up earned him the final pot of the level.

Deeb Calls Neumann's All In

Level 4 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Shaun Deeb raised to 4,000 from early position only to have Marko Neumann move all in for 29,100 from the button. Action folded back to Deeb and he made the call.

Deeb: {Q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}
Neumann: {A-Clubs}{6-Clubs}

The {8-Diamonds}{7-Diamonds}{10-Clubs} flop gave Deeb an open-ended straight draw and he anxiously rubbed his hands together. The {4-Diamonds} turn was no help to Deeb, and neither was the {8-Clubs} river. Neumann's ace-high was good and he doubled to 56,000. Deeb dropped to 87,400.

Binger All In and Behind

Level 4 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Shaun Deeb raised to 4,000 from early position only to have Michael Binger reraise right behind to 11,000. Action folded back to Deeb and four-bet to 21,000. Binger responded by moving all in for 51,500 more and Deeb snap-called:

Deeb: {K-Hearts}{K-Diamonds}
Binger: {A-Hearts}{K-Clubs}

Deeb was in a dominating position and looking to dodge an ace to eliminate his opponent. He did just that on the {4-Spades}{6-Clubs}{10-Hearts} flop and was one step closer to extending his chip lead. However, when the {A-Diamonds} spiked on the turn, Binger took the lead and left Deeb drawing to the last king in the deck. The river was the {4-Diamonds} and Binger doubled to 147,800; meanwhile, Deeb took a hit down to 114,000.

Deeb v. Chen Again

Level 4 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

Andrew Chen opened to 3,800 from middle position, and Shaun Deeb three-bet to 10,500 (as he is prone to do). When the table passed back around to Chen, he cut out a reraise to 22,000 and slid it forward. Deeb leaned forward to eyeball Chen's stack before grimacing and flicking his cards back to the dealer.

Neumann Under Pressure

Level 3 : 600/1,200, 100 ante
Michael Binger's stare
Michael Binger's stare

From the cutoff seat, Michael Binger opened to 2,900, and Marko Neumann three-bet him to 7,100 from the button. When it came back to Binger, he spent several minutes studying Neumann's with a long, hard gaze. It was three or four minutes before Binger made a covering reraise, and Neumann could not call. He gave it just a cursory look before folding with about 34,000 chips left.

Binger is up to 66,000.

Baumstein Gets Paid

Level 3 : 600/1,200, 100 ante

Scott Baumstein raised from the cutoff and William Pilossoph called from the button. Both blinds folded and the {3-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Clubs} came on the flop. Baumstein bet 3,300 and Pilossoph called behind.

Both players checked the {6-Spades} turn and the {J-Diamonds} hit the river. Baumstein threw out a over-sized bet of 14,200. Pilossoph made the call but mucked when Baumstein turned over {10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} for the nuts. Pilossoph dropped to 38,000 while Baumstein is up to 155,000.
