The next hand, Sowers opened to 1,400 from middle position, and Mike Telker called on his direct left. The action behind folded, and the dealer fanned . Sowers check-called a 1,700-chip bet from Telker, and the turned. Sowers check-called another bet from Telker - this time the amount was 7,000 - and the completed the board.
Sowers checked a third time, and Telker immediately reached for a handful of blue T5,000 chips, added three yellow T1,000 chips, and tossed 28,000 forward. Sowers tanked for half of a minute before eventually calling, and Telker tabled for a flopped set of fives.
Sowers mucked.
