Jaka Tries, Gives Up

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 40,000 ante

Kyle Julius raised to 525,000 with {A-Diamonds} {8-Spades} under the gun, and Faraz Jaka flatted on the button with {Q-Diamonds} {J-Diamonds}.

They both checked through the {2-Clubs} {7-Clubs} {10-Hearts} flop, and the {A-Hearts} drew another check from Julius with the best hand. Jaka couldn't resist firing another 525,000, though, and Julius called to see the {3-Spades} on the river. Now Jaka gave up, checking behind Julius and surrendering.

Jaka Cracks Aces to Double

Faraz Jaka
Faraz Jaka

Faraz Jaka shoved from the small blind for 3,715,000 with {K-Diamonds}{Q-Spades}, but ran smack into John Dibella's {A-Hearts}{A-Clubs} in the big blind.

Jake was in dire straits, but found a little help from the {J-Clubs}{9-Spades}{3-Diamonds} flop picking up a straight draw. The turn delivered for Jaka as the {10-Diamonds} was exactly what he needed. The {J-Hearts} river was irreleveant as Jaka's straight earned him the crucial double.

Jaka Shoves on Liu

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 40,000 ante

John Dibella folded {10-Spades} {J-Spades} under the gun, and Xuan Liu raised to 500,000 from the button with {J-Hearts} {5-Hearts}. Faraz Jaka was dealt {Q-Clubs} {9-Hearts} in the big blind, and he reraised all in.

"Did you look?" Liu asked.

Jaka said he wouldn't say whether or not he did, and Liu released her cards into the muck.

Jaka Fades A Big Sweat

Level 34 : 125,000/250,000, 40,000 ante

Kyle Julius raised to 525,000 first to act with {5-Hearts}{5-Spades} and Faraz Jaka re-raised all for 3,310,000 with {5-Diamonds}{5-Clubs} on the button. Julius asked for a count before opting to call, smirking when he saw Jaka table the same hand.

The flop came down {Q-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{2-Spades}, giving Julius a freeroll. The {9-Spades} hit the turn and gave Julius a flush draw, getting a big reaction from the audience. Jaka was nervous to see what the river brought, but it was the {K-Diamonds} to chop up the pot.

Four in the Door Doubles Dibella

Dibella binks the four
Dibella binks the four

Faraz Jaka opened the button to 550,000, and he was working with a good pair, the {J-Diamonds} {J-Clubs}. Next door in the small blind, John Dibella looked an inferior pair, and he shoved in for 5.245 million with {4-Spades} {4-Clubs}. When it came back to Jaka, he snap-called, and there was nearly 11 million in the pot with Dibella in serious danger.

How quickly things change. The dealer burned and dropped three cards on the felt, and the {4-Hearts} appeared right ni the window. Jaka looked sick, and Dibella flashed a celebratory fist pump toward his spectators on the rail. The board ended up showing {2-Clubs} {10-Clubs} {4-Hearts} {8-Spades} {Q-Spades}, and Jaka has been parted with a huge chunk of his stack.
