Haxton On Top for Day 2

Isaac Haxton
Isaac Haxton

Day 2 of the 2012 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure $100,000 Super High Roller is here and the quest for the $1,254,400 top prize continues with Isaac Haxton leading the way. Haxton bagged up nearly as many chips as the first-place prize is worth with 1.24 million at the end of the first eight levels. Behind him is Viktor Blom with 875,000 and rounding out the top three is Erik Seidel with 753,000.

As expected, this field drew some of the biggest names in the game. There's still plenty of them remaining including Team PokerStars Pros Jason Mercier, Bertrand "ElkY" Grospellier, Daniel Negreanu, Humberto Brenes and Jonathan Duhamel. Along with that elite group, Mike McDonald, Scott Seiver, David "Doc" Sands and last year's PCA Main Event champion Galen Hall are still alive.

The original plan for the day was to play down from the remaining 18 players until the final table was reached. With the money line set at five, some of the players have expressed concern that they'd like to play down to the money. It's all up to the television production team, so we'll have to play the wait-and-see game before letting you know the final decision on today's schedule.

Below is a look at today's starting seat draw. After two players drop out, the tournament will condense down to two tables.

As you can see from the seat draw, Haxton and Blom — the two biggest stacks in the field — are at the same table. This could amount to some big-time fireworks on the felt, which you won't want to miss.
