Sands Tries the Trap

Brandon Meyers opened to 700 from the cutoff seat, David "Doc" Sands - who finished as runner-up in the $100,000 Super High Roller a few days ago - three-bet to 3,200 from the small blind, and Meyers called.

Sands led again - this time for 7,400 - and Meyers again called.

, and for the first time, Sands checked. Meyers quickly checked behind. Sands turned over 
for an ace-high flush, and Meyers went to table his hand before realizing that Sands didn't have just ace-high.
Meyers later said that he had two jacks.
Sands couldn't pull off the trap this time, but he's still above the starting stack.
