Rob Mizrachi has one of the worst seats at the table. He's to the direct right of Vanessa Selbst, and we all know how aggressive she likes to play, especially when she's yielding chips. On two recent back-to-back hands, Mizrachi felt that aggression.
On the first of the two hands, action folded to Mizrachi on the button. He opened with a raise to 125,000. Selbst reraised from the small blind to 290,000, and Mizrachi folded.
The very next hand, Mizrachi made it 120,000 to go from the cutoff seat, and then Selbst three-bet to 280,000 on the button. This time, Mizrachi called, opting to take a flop out of position against the defending champion of this event.
The flop fell , and Mizrachi checked. Selbst bet 270,000, and Mizrachi made the call to see the land on the turn. Mizrachi checked, and Selbst slid forward 435,000. After a little bit of tanking, Mizrachi folded, and Selbst won the pot.
