Sippl Doubles Through Vogelsang

Level 20 : 40,000/80,000, 10,000 ante
Roger Sippl Doubles
Roger Sippl Doubles

Roger Sippl was in the cutoff and he put out a raise to 210,000. Christoph Vogelsang called out of the big blind and the two were off to the flop.

The dealer fanned a {5-Hearts}{4-Hearts}{2-Hearts} flop and Vogelsang checked it over to Sippl. Sippl continued out for 350,000, sending Vogelsang into the tank. Ultimately he came out with a raise to 850,000. Sippl immeidately moved all in over the top for 1.925 million and Vogelsang called just as quickly.

Vogelsang: {Q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}
Sippl: {A-Hearts}{k-Spades}

The {k-Hearts} dropped down on the turn and gave Sippl the nut flush. The {K-Diamonds} completed the board and Sippl was able to score the double up to 4.36 million. Vogelsang, on the other hand, dropped down to 1.71 million.

PCA 2015 Story of the Day: LAPT Bahamas Crushes Expectations

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

On the second day of the 2015 PCA it was the $3,000 LAPT Bahamas Main Event that caught everyone's attention. This event drew a crowd of 736 players (531 unique) to create a prize pool just shy of $2 million.

The eventual winner of this event will walk away $367,928 richer, and we caught up with PokerStars blogger Martin Harris to discuss the success of this tournament.

Vogelsang Takes From Mizzi

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Sorel Mizzi opened to 135,000 from the cutoff with {J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and Christoph Vogelsang called on the button with {7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}.

The flop came down {A-Spades}{4-Clubs}{9-Spades} and Mizzi continued for 145,000. After a little while in the tank, Vogelsang called to see the {4-Spades} turn. Mizzi checked this time, as did Vogelsang, and the {3-Hearts} river completed the board.

Both checked again and Vogelsang took down the pot with sevens and fours.

Kenney Fires, O'Dwyer Folds

Level 19 : 30,000/60,000, 10,000 ante

Bryn Kenney raised to 135,000 with {K-Hearts}{Q-Spades} from the hijack. Steve O'Dwyer had {8-Clubs}{6-Diamonds} in the big blind and he came along for the ride.

The flop came down {2-Spades}{3-Spades}{8-Diamonds} and O'Dwyer checked over to Kenney. He continued out for 160,000 and O'Dwyer tossed out a call. Fourth street was the {9-Spades} and O'Dwyer checked for a second time. Kenney reached for chips once more, this time firing 370,000. O'Dwyer thought for a moment before opting to let it go. Kenney picked up the pot and brought his stack to 4.435 million.
