Sam Greenwood has excellent online credentials. Known as "Str8$$$homey" on PokerStars, Greenwood has reached more than $1 million in profit. And while his graph shows that he's currently going through a downswing period, there is zero doubt about Greenwood's abilities. He's one of the top tournament specialists and a popular coach on a renowned schooling website Run It Once.
Greenwood hails from a poker-playing family. His brothers Luc and Max are also well-known poker professionals, but Sam is perhaps the most talented from the three.
Prolific online, Greenwood has been terrific on the live felt as well. He surpassed $7 million in live cashes by the end of last year, mainly thanks to his fantastic hot run at partypoker Caribbean Poker Party in Punta Cana back in November. Greenwood started strong and finished even stronger. After a third place in the $10k Event and a second place in the $25k Event, the 29-year-old Canadian scooped the Main Event for a cool $1,000,000 payday.
Greenwood twice fell just short of taking home a PokerStars Super High Roller title, finishing second in the EPT13 Barcelona �50k event and EPT12 Prague �50k event. That's just a fraction of his accomplishments. He owns a WSOP bracelet, he won two SCOOP and a WCOOP event, he's been to the EPT Main Event final table. Now he's trying to best his sixth place from the PCA 2015 Super High Roller.
His brother Luc wrapped the PokerStars Championship Bahamas with a victory in the $25k High Roller on the last day of the festival, now the torch is passed to Sam who might put the famous poker on the top again.
