Action was heads up with over 150,000 in the pot and on the board when Allan Barnes checked before Andrew Chen bet 158,000 leaving 2,000 behind. After a long tank, Barnes flicked in a chip to call and turned over for a pair of fours. Chen had the dusty and Barnes took the huge pot with fours and deuces.
On the next hand, Chen was committed for his last 2,000 in the big blind and Barnes was the only suitor from the small blind. Chen turned over and Barnes had . The board ran out and Chen was out of the tournament.
Martin Johnstone opened to 20,000 from under the gun and only Maria Ho called from the cutoff. The flop came and Johnstone checked over to Ho who bet out 15,000. Johnstone made the call and the hit the turn.
Johnstone checked a second time and Ho sized to 30,000. Johnstone took a moment to weigh his options, but decided on a fold and the pot was sent to Ho.
Meanwhile on the other tables, Alexandre Raymond and Dinesh Alt were sent to the exit in 27th and 26th place.
In a heads-up pot with just over 50,000 in the middle on a flop of , Ludovic Geilich checked from the small blind to Mateusz Moolhuizen next to act who bet 30,000. Geilich made the call and the peeled off on the turn.
Both players elected on a check to the river. Geilich took the betting lead with a sizing of 98,000, and without much thought, Moolhuizen tossed his cards in the muck.
