Jaffe Continues To Climb

Level 15 : Blinds 5,000/10,000, 10,000 ante
Jonathan Jaffe
Jonathan Jaffe

With many pots going back and forth without a flop, Jonathan Jaffe has been very active on the money bubble. After Seth Davies opened to 20,000 from under the gun, Jaffe moved all in next to act, covering the table. Both blinds got out of the way and Davies quickly folded to send Jaffe the pot.

A few hands later action folded to Jaffe on the button who moved all in again. Both Daniel Dvoress and Orpen Kisacikoglu quickly folded and another pot was sent to Jaffe without contest.

Jaffe Soars Into the Clear Chip Lead

Level 14 : Blinds 4,000/8,000, 8,000 ante
Jonathan Jaffe
Jonathan Jaffe

Daniel Dvoress opened to 20,000 under the gun, but was then three-bet by Jonathan Jaffe in the big blind. Dvoress made the call and the two went heads-up to a flop of {2-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{4-Spades}.

Jaffe continued with a super small sizing of 11,000 into the 116,000 pot and Dvoress proceeded to call.

On the turn {a-Clubs}, both players decided to check and went straight to the {8-Hearts} on the river.

Jaffe checked and Dvoress bet 66,000, but then Jaffe check-raised him to 220,000 and Dvoress quickly mucked. Jaffe was pushed the substantial pot to boost him into the chip lead with 460,000.

Daniel Dvoress opened to 16,000 on the button and only Seth Davies made the call in the big blind.

The flop came {7-Spades}{6-Hearts}{3-Diamonds} and Davies check-called a bet of 13,000 from Dvoress. On the {6-Clubs} turn Davies elected to lead out for 20,000 and after little thought, Dvoress folded

Jonathan Jaffe opened the action to 13,000 from under the gun and only Daniel Dvoress made the call on the button.

Both players checked their options on a flop of {q-Hearts}{9-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and again on the {3-Clubs} turn. The {10-Hearts} hit the river and Jaffe checked a third time. Dvoress took a moment before tossing in a bet of 20,000 and without much thought, Jaffe mucked his hand.

Jaffe Strikes Back

Level 12 : Blinds 2,000/5,000, 5,000 ante

Jonathan Jaffe opened to 11,000 under the gun and David Dvoress made the call from the button.

The duo saw the flop of {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}{4-Hearts} and Jaffe continued for 12,000, which Dvoress called.

The turn came the {k-Hearts} and the action checked through to the {j-Hearts} river.

Jaffe checked to Dvoress, who let the shot clock get to almost zero before he announced a bet of 28,000. After a few moments, Jaffe then check-raised to 108,000 and Dvoress promptly folded to award Jaffe the pot.
