Edwin Dela Cruz made it 100,000 to go with the K?Q? and William Teoh called with the A?5? in the net seat, as did Terry Gonzaga with the 7?6? on the button and Alessandro Taranto out of the small blind with K?10?.

It checked to Teoh, who bet his top pair and gutshot for 220,000. Gonzaga then pushed all-in for 675,000 and that sent Teoh into the tank. He asked for an exact count and Teoh mulled it over for two minutes to then fold.

In the first hand of the new level, William Teoh opened to 100,000 with the A?6? from an early position and Tor Welo called the 10?6? out of the big blind. The 8?8?4? flop was checked by the Norwegian and Teoh bet for the win.

The next hand saw Teoh with a limp from under the gun holding the J?10?. Welo came out swinging with a raise to 250,000 out of the small blind, as he picked up the A?K?. Teoh came along and the Q?7?6? flop missed both players.

Welo made it 220,000 to go and Teoh folded.

David Erquiaga opened to 90,000 with the 8?8? and Alessandro Taranto flat-called in the cutoff with the K?J?, which led them to the J?9?3? flop. The initial raiser check-raised his pocket pair from 70,000 to 300,000 and Taranto glanced over to see the stack size of his opponent before making the call.

The 7? fell on the turn, giving Erquiaga a gutshot while Taranto added a flush draw on top.

Erquiaga pushed all-in for 995,000 and Taranto called within just a few seconds to put the local hero at risk.

The 4? river was a blank and both stacks were counted. Taranto had 1,120,000 behind and Erquiaga was covered by just a few blinds to become the first casualty on the final table.
