Chao No More
Percy Chao’s Day 2B is now over and we got all the gory details. It was Jin Giang Shi who was the man to show Chao the door with a one-two combo, taking a big bite out of Chao’s stack in the first hand the two tangled in and showing Chao the door in the second.
It was Shi who was the aggressor in the first, popping it up to 2,600 from middle position, Chao called from the cutoff and the big blind came along for the ride to take the action three-way to a flop of .
After the big blind checked, Shi continuation bet 4,500 with Chao the only caller and a came in on the turn with Shi checking and Chao betting 12,000, which was called.
There was another on the river to double pair the board and Shi checked again. Chao fired for 40,000 but had to fold out when Shi shoved, with the Chinese player flashing Chao before raking in the pot.
The two tangled again a few hands later with Chao raising a Shi open limp with the Chinese player calling to take the action heads-up to a flop.
Shi checked, Chao c-bet 3,000 and got check-raised to 11,000 but made the call to bring in the turn. Shi shoved and Chao called off the last of his chips but his could not beat Shi’s and that was that.
