Sahashi Hideki Eliminated in 8th (HK$174,400)
The first casualty of the 2017 Suncity Cup Finale Macau Final Table was the shortest stack and despite coming into the day with a little over 22 big blinds Japan’s Sahashi Hideki could not find the cards for that all elusive double up.
Down to his last 10 big blinds, Hideki moved all-in from the button over the top of a Danny Tang cutoff open and the Hong Kong player made a quick call.

Hideki was the at-risk player and Tang’s ace-high was leading, though the Japanese player’s cards were live. The flop was exactly the sort of board that Hideki was after, but unfortunately the turn and river were not the diamonds (or jack or queen) that he need to survive and he exited in 8th place for an HK$174,400 (~$22,325) payday while Tang stacked up to 5.4 million in chips.
