Poker King Cup Highlights

The PKC High Roller features an HKD 80,000 buy-in with players starting off with 50,000 in chips and blinds increasing every 40-minutes throughout the event. Players can re-enter an unlimited amount of times until late registration ends at the start of Level 13, which is the fourth blind level of Day 2 on Sunday, 23 September.

The PKC Main Event boasts an HKD 16,500 buy-in. Players kick off the action with a 30,000 stack during the three opening flights running Sept. 21-22. The first two flights feature 40-minute blind levels while the final Turbo opening flight features 30-minute blind levels.

Players will have plenty of chances to build a big stack in the Main Event with all three opening flights allowing for unlimited reentries. The final three days of the tournament will also feature a deeper structure with 60-minute blind levels.

The PKC Super High Roller features an amazing structure for those ponying up the massive HKD 200,000 buy-in, with 250,000 in chips and blinds increasing every 50 minutes. Unlimited reentries are allowed until the start of Level 12, which is the third blind level of Day 2, running Tuesday, 25 September.

The PokerNews Live Reporting Team will be reporting the biggest hands from start to finish for the Poker King Cup High Roller, Main Event and the Poker King Cup Super High Roller.

PKC High Roller Action

However, today is for the High Rollers and we will be bringing you all the high-octane big buy-in tournament action from the two-day HK$80,000 Poker King Cup High Roller, which begins at 3pm local time (GMT+7) on Thursday, 20 September.

It was Taiwans Chung Yuan Yu who took this very event down for an HKD 1,020,700 ($131,076) payday back in May 2017.

Whether Yu will be returning to defend his title remains to be seen, but there should be some scintillating poker on display for the next few days.

Players start with 50,000 in chips and have the option to reenter should the cards not fall their way, and have 40-minute levels in which to use them, with antes coming into play from level 2 onwards with Day 1 finishing at the end of level 9.
