Cheung Getting Short, Tsai Wins One
Sparrow Cheung started reasonably well but is going through a bit of a slump over the course of the level. Down to 40,000 (10 big blinds), Cheung moved all-in from early position but found no customers to claim the blinds and antes.
While Yu You Ci Tsai was able to find himself a customer preflop after raising from mid-position and becoming embroiled in a raising war with a tablemate, the hand fizzled out after the flop. There was close to 100,000 in the pot with the flop reading when the action was picked up, just as Tsai fired out a chunky 117,000 bet.
Tsai's opponent in the hand tanked long and hard, but being as the bet represented everything he had in front of him, the player in question elected to give it up, leaving Tsai free to rake in the pot.
