Steffen Sontheimer Doubles Through Phil Hellmuth

Level 12 : 3,500/7,000, 7,000 ante

Steffen Sontheimer and Phil Hellmuth have a little history. Earlier today, the latter finished fourth in the Poker Masters Event #2 while the former went on to win it. Throughout the final table, Hellmuth frequently jabbed at Sontheimer saying he was just trying to give away his chips.

As it turns out, in this hand it was Hellmuth sending over chips.

It began when Sontheimer raised to 15,000 under the gun and Alan Schein called from the button. Hellmuth then moved all in from the big blind, Sontheimer called off for 197,500, and Schein got out of the way.

Sontheimer: {k-Hearts}{k-Diamonds}
Hellmuth: {j-Diamonds}{j-Clubs}

Hellmuth sat quietly as the board ran out an unhelpfull {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}{3-Spades}{2-Hearts}{a-Clubs}, and then as he is prone to do, he started cursing both his luck and his opponent aloud to no one in particular.
