A three-way all-in just occured resulting in two eliminations!

The board showed 10?10?3?A?4? and one player showed a flush when the other two had a full house with a pair of three and a pair of aces. All chips went in the middle on the river and Spanish player "Caracas" eliminated two opponents with his aces full.

Kempe Joins the Field

Level 4 : Blinds 400/800, 800 ante
Rainer Kempe
Rainer Kempe

Among Spanish players and Pokercode community fans from Germany and Austria, one big name just arrived.

Super High Roller player Rainer Kempe took his seat close to Sebastian Schulze. After losing some small pots, he finally won one.

The under-the-gun player limped and Kempe just called from the hijack while the big blind checked.

On the flop 3?8?A?, all players checked.

On the turn 10?, the first limper decided to bet 2,000, his opponents both called.

On the river 5?, both the big blind and under-the-gun players checked and Kempe thought for a while before checking back.

With 10?8?, Kempe showed the winning hand to come back to around 40,000 chips.

Level 2 : Blinds 200/400, 400 ante
Nico Pohl
Nico Pohl

PokerNews caught some action in a three-bet pot. Nico Pohl, in the big blind, squeezed to 7,000 after an early open and several calls.

Only the initial raiser called and the flop came Q?J?J?. Pohl continuation-bet to 3,000 and got a call.

On the turn Q?, both players checked.

On the river 3?, the opening raiser bet 10,500 and Pohl thought for a while before calling with A?A?.

His opponent mucked and Pohl became the first chip leader of the tournament.

Welcome to the Pokercode Madrid Festival at Casino Gran Via

PokerCode team
PokerCode team

Following a successful event in Bratislava in September 2021, Pokercode is back live but this time in Spain, at Gran Via casino in the city center of Madrid. The poker training website was founded by German high stakes legend Fedor Holz and Austrian player Matthias Eibinger to train a new generation of poker fans.

With this live event, Pokercode gives their community the opportunity to interact with and meet the coaches as well as the founders in a friendly atmosphere. The Pokercode Festival Madrid already started on Monday with some side events (€330 Cup and €350 Mystery Bounty). It will continue until Sunday April 16 with the €550 Main Event and its boosted guarantee from €125,000 up to €225,000! The festival will end with a €220 Bounty King, a €1,100 Masters (€70,000 guarantee), a €250 Closer, and a €5,300 High Roller (€50,000 guarantee).

PokerNews will be covering the Main Event which features four opening flights with today’s Day 1a kicking off at 2 p.m. Day 1b is planned to start at 7 p.m. before Day 1c tomorrow at 2 p.m., and Day 1d as the final flight at 7 p.m. All players will start with 50 000 chips on 30-minute levels (25 minutes on Day 1c and 1d ). Each flight plays until 15% of the field is reached and late registration is possible during the first twelve levels with unlimited re-entries..

The Pokercode Festival wishes to provide a poker holiday for both recreational and professional players alike. The community has the opportunity to meet many of the members of the popular Grindhouse but will also be able to speak and play with one of the most successful poker players of all time, Holz. A players party will entertain people on April 15th from 9.30 p.m. while those present on the Main Event final table enjoy a pre-final breakfast with Holz.

PokerNews will be on the tournament floor bringing exclusive coverage from the moment the dealer pitches the first cards to when the champion of the €550 buy-in €225,000 guaranteed Main Event is crowned. Who’s in?
