Tollerene Takes Two

Level 4 : 200/500, 0 ante

Lauri Varonen made it 1,500 to go in the small blind, and Ben Tollerene defended. Varonen check-called 3,000 on the {2-Spades}{7-Hearts}{8-Clubs} flop, and Tollerene potted again on the {k-Spades} turn. Varonen released.

Tollerene was in the small blind the next hand and raised to 1,500. Isaac Haxton called, and it got checked to the end on a {10-Hearts}{6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{j-Hearts}{3-Hearts} board. Tollerene bet 3,000 and took the pot with {k-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{8-Hearts} for a flush after Haxton tank-called.

Sean Winter Eliminated

Level 4 : 200/500, 0 ante
Sean Winter
Sean Winter

Sean Winter raised it up to 1,700 first to act and Isaac Haxton put him all in from the big blind for around 5,000. Winter called.

"I've got a good one," Haxton said, tabling {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{q-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

He was in need of help though, as Winter had {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}{3-Spades}.

Haxton got it when {9-Diamonds}{2-Spades}{j-Clubs} flopped, giving him a wrap. The {k-Diamonds} turn sealed at least a chop and the {4-Spades} river signaled the end for Winter.

Winter said he might be back if others buy in.

Tollerene Paid With Flush

Level 3 : 200/400, 0 ante

Ben Tollerene raised to 1,400 and Lauri Varonen defended the big blind. Varonen check-called 1,500 on a {9-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} flop, and he came out betting with 5,500 on a {q-Clubs} turn. Tollerene called, and an {8-Clubs} completed a backdoor flush possibility. Varonen checked and Tollerene fired 15,000. After a bit of thinking time, Varonen called.

Tollerene showed {k-Spades}{k-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{4-Clubs} for a flush.

Boats Got Winter Down

Level 3 : 200/400, 0 ante

Isaac Haxton raised to 1,200 in the small blind and Sean Winter called. They both checked a flop of {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{k-Spades} and Haxton bet 800 on the {9-Diamonds} turn. Winter called. The river was a {2-Clubs} and Haxton checked. Winter bet 1,300 and Haxton raised to 7,900.

"Ike, what are you doing to me?" Winter asked.

Winter decided to call, though, and Haxton showed {k-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Spades}{2-Hearts} for top boat. Winter showed nines and mucked.

"I almost checked," Winter said.

"I would never sleep again," Haxton said.

Just after that, Lauri Varonen checked a board of {6-Spades}{7-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}{8-Spades} and Ben Tollerene bet 400. Winter called on the button and Varonen made it 2,100 to go. Only Winter called. The river was a {k-Spades} and Varonen bet 5,200, exactly half of Winter's stack. Winter called and mucked when shown {10-Hearts}{8-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{4-Spades} for eights full.

Anthony Zinno wandered over.

"Having fun, boys?" he asked.

"I'm not," Winter replied. "They're good at making boats."

Winter Limp-Reraises

Level 3 : 200/400, 0 ante

Sean Winter completed the small blind and then saw Lauri Varonen pop it to 1,200. Winter put in a reraise to 3,600 and Varonen called. Winter bet 2,400 on the {k-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}{6-Hearts} flop and Varonen quickly folded.

After that hand, the players decided to take a quick break.

Winter Can't Get Traction

Level 2 : 100/300, 0 ante

Sean Winter opened to 1,000 on the button Lauri Varonen made it 3,300 in the small blind. Winter called to see {3-Spades}{10-Diamonds}{q-Hearts} flop. Varonen checked and Winter bet 4,300. Varonen called and both checked the {7-Spades}. The river paired the board with the {3-Clubs}. Varonen bet 7,100 and took the pot.

Shortly after that, Winter and Varonen played a big pot with Winter limping under the gun and calling 1,300 from Varonen. They both checked the flop and got stacks in on a {7-Clubs}{2-Spades}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds} board on the turn. Both held {k-}{7-} but Varonen had a gutshot to go with one overcard, while Winter had two overs to the seven for better two pair. The river bricked off and they chopped.
