Thorel Eliminates Gieles In Two Hands

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

In two hands, Luuk Gieles has been eliminated by Jean-Noel Thorel. In the first hand, it was Thorel who opened to 4,500 from under the gun. Gieles called {Q-}{Q-} to his left, and two other players called as well. Sergi Reixach three-bet to 23,000 from the big blind and Thorel called.

Gieles moved in for around 100,000, Reixach folded, and Thorel called all in for 69,000. Thorel held {A-Clubs}{J-Clubs} and got everything he needed when the board ran out {J-}{10-Clubs}{2-Clubs}{J-}{K-Clubs}.

In the next hand, Bryn Kenney raised in middle position, Thorel called from the small blind, and Gieles called from the big blind.

The flop was {A-Spades}{J-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and both blinds checked to Kenney, who bet 6,000. Thorel called, Gieles moved all in for 28,000, Kenney called, Thorel then came all in over the top with his now 150,000 stack, and Kenney folded to the Frenchman's shove.

Jean-Noel Thorel: {K-Spades}{Q-Spades}
Luuk Gieles: {J-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}

Gieles needed to pair one of his holecards again to escape elimination but failed to do so on the {A-Diamonds} turn and {8-Clubs} river.

Khoroshenin Puts The Pressure On Luca

Level 4 : 1,000/2,000, 300 ante

Ivan Luca has used his single reentry and is back in the tournament. Right away, Oleksii Khoroshenin put him under pressure. Preflop, Khoroshenin had three-bet to 17,000 from the small blind and Luca had called from early position.

On the {9-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{2-Spades} flop, Khoroshenin bet 16,000 and Luca called. The turn brought the {3-Hearts} and Khoroshenin moved all in for 50,100, two-thirds of Luca's stack. The Argentinian asked for a count but folded before the time bank came into play.

Haxton Busts Luca; Karmazinas Drops To Nemeth

Level 3 : 800/1,600, 200 ante

On a completed board of {Q-Spades}{9-Spades}{Q-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{A-Clubs}, there was over 30,000 in the pot with action on Isaac Haxton. He slid a large stack of T-5,000 chips forward, enough to put Ivan Luca all in for his last 52,000.

Luca used some of his time bank before flicking in a call. Haxton immediately showed {9-Clubs}{9-Diamonds} for a full house, rendering Luca's {J-Clubs}{5-Hearts} second best.

At another table, Dominykas Karmazinas was eliminated by Andras Nemeth, who moved up to 240,000.
