Dvoress Gives Zhou a Gift

Level 15 : 12,000/24,000, 4,000 ante

A huge hand played out between Daniel Dvoress and Quan Zhou that left the Canadian player’s stack decimated.

Pre-flop it was Zhou who was the aggressor, making it 42,000 to go on the button and Dvoress defended from the big blind and made the call taking the action heads-up to a {6-Spades}{8-Hearts}{a-Clubs} flop.

This brought a check from Dvoress and a bet of 51,000 from Zhou, which the Canadian called and the turn came down {k-Spades} bringing a second check from Dvoress and a second barrel from Zhou, this one a slightly more sizable 90,000.

Dvoress thought longer this time but did call to bring both players to the {7-Hearts} river and the Canadian checked for the third time. Zhou had just 165,000 behind and he stacked it up into a single tower before pushing it into the middle to send Dvoress deep into the tank where he remained for 90 seconds after burning through both his remaining time bank chips.

With just 1 second left on the shot clock, Dvoress threw in a single blue 1k chip for the call and Zhou slammed down {a-Spades}{j-Diamonds}, which was leading Dvoress’ {10-Clubs}{8-Clubs}.
