Taepper Taps Out to Eiler
After finishing fifth in the �5,300 King's High Roller last night, Andreas Eiler kept up the good run by eliminating the first player from the tournament. The unfortunate victim was Christian Taepper, who ran into an unexpected hand from the Austrian high roller.
On a board, Taepper bet 1,225 and Eiler made it 4,225 to go from the hijack. Dan Long Banh cold-called from the big blind and Taepper called as well.
The river brought the and Banh checked. Taepper elected to lead out 5,700, but much to his dismay Eiler moved all in. Banh folded and Taepper faced a decision for his remaining 9,000.
The German called it off after two minutes with , but was shocked when Eiler showed for the rivered inside straight that ended his tournament life on the spot.
