"Jimmy2009" Denies Tripp Another Title; Shaban Makes a Deep Run on Day 10

Steve Tripp
Steve Tripp

Steve "BetrThanPhil" Tripp, already with two titles in the PokerStars Ontario Championship of Online Poker (ONCOOP), put himself in a position to win a third on Day 10 but would once again fall just short.

$50 NLHE [8-Max]

Event 38-L: $50 NLHE [8-Max] drew 297 total entries, generating a prize pool of $13,513.50. "PADRE3867" held the chip lead at the start of the final table with 2,056,603, double the stack of Tripp in second place.

"fishbowl101" was the first elimination after moving all in for 285,638. "PADRE3867" called and won a coin flip with ace-jack against eights to send out "fishbowl101" in eighth place.

"liam1050" would next be the victim of some misfortune. They raised to 75,000 before Tripp moved all in. "liam1050" called for 435,805 and was in a good spot to double up with queens to Tripp's fours. Tripp, though, flopped a set to bust "liam1050" in seventh.

"PADRE3867" increased their lead by winning a 572,000 pot against Tripp with a rivered pair of jacks, then hitting a set of aces on the river in a 795,000 three-way pot as they held more than half the chips in play six-handed. Shyam "G's zee" Srinivasan, one of the biggest winners in online poker history with more than $10 million in career earnings, wouldn't add an ONCOOP title to his accomplishments today after moving all in for 350,310 from the big blind over a raise from "Andygames768." They called with king-four and flopped a four to beat Srinivasan's ace-jack and send him to the virtual rail in sixth.

"Andygames768" enjoyed a meteoric rise to near the top of the counts that would end just as quickly. They took a chunk off "PADRE3867" after calling all in for 778,875 with ace-jack and holding on to double against king-jack. "Andygames768" then called a bet of 126,750 from "mosie27" on an ace-high flop and another 253,500 on the turn. "mosie27" shoved for 458,974 on the river and "Andygames768" called with king-queen for the turned Broadway straight. "mosie27," though, made aces full of jacks on the river to double up. "Andygames768" was eliminated a few hands later after shoving for 624,026 with ace-seven. "PADRE3867" called with queen-jack and flopped trips to end "Andygames768"'s run in fifth place.

Tripp doubled up through "PADRE3867" for 646,606 with king-queen, then it was the turn of "Jimmy2009" to double up for 1,323,908 after having queens hold up against Tripp's flush draw.

"mosie27" won a 1,500,000 pot off "PADRE3867" by calling a bet of 500,000 on theriver with just ace-high, then won a 1,800,000 pot with a set of sevens to take the chip lead. On a six-high flop, "PADRE3867" moved all in after "Jimmy2009" bet 375,000, and "Jimmy2009" called for 417,908 with eight-six. "PADRE3867" had a flush draw but missed as the one-time massive chip leader dropped to the bottom of the counts. Four hands later, "PADRE3867" flopped two pair but ran into "Jimmy2009"'s set of sixes to bust in fourth place.

Tripp won a 1,905,000 pot against "mosie27" with queen-ten for a straight, but would give away those chips the next hand. Tripp bet 378,000 on the river and was called by "Jimmy2009" with a pair of jacks. Tripp could only show queen-high for a failed bluff.

The three players would then all see a five-high flop as "Jimmy2009" bet 175,000 and was called by "mosie27." Tripp then raised to 840,000, getting rid of "Jimmy2009," but "mosie27" raised all in and Tripp called for his last 307,758. "mosie27" had two kings, but Tripp showed seven-six for the nut straight to double up and climb near the chip lead. "mosie27" then shoved the button for 1,087,650 with king-jack but Tripp woke up with aces in the small blind to get heads-up against "Jimmy2009" with a 3,994,529 to 3,430,471 chip lead.

"Jimmy2009" jumped into a big lead after betting 160,000 on an ace-high board. Tripp came back with a raise to 736,000 and was called. "Jimmy2009" shoved the river for 1,980,221 and Tripp quickly folded. The next hand, Tripp again raised to 608,000 on the flop and "Jimmy2009" called. Both players checked the turn before "Jimmy2009" bet 880,000 on the river, drawing another fold from Tripp.

Tripp managed to climb back up to around 3,000,000 when he called a bet of 800,000 on the turn of an ace-high board. Tripp led out for 100,000 when a second jack fell on the river and showed jack-ten for rivered trips after "Jimmy2009" called to retake the lead.

On the next hand, "Jimmy2009" shoved for 1,736,519 on the turn with two nines showing. Tripp went into his time bank before calling with pocket sevens. "Jimmy2009" had king-nine for trips to double up to 5,744,938. "Jimmy2009" nearly won the tournament shortly after as Tripp moved all in for 705,062, less than six big blinds, and "Jimmy2009" called with king-jack. "Jimmy2009" flopped a pair of kings, but Tripp made two pair on the turn with queen-eight to double.

Tripp doubled up again when he shoved for 1,035,124 on the river and "Jimmy2009" called with two pair, sevens and sixes. Tripp, though, had two queens and sevens to win the pot. He took the chip lead once more in a 1,700,000 pot with a pair of tens before the two tangled in a massive pot.

Tripp bet 432,000 on a queen-high board, then moved all in on the river. "Jimmy2009" called for 1,712,878 with a pair of queens and doubled up against Tripp's pair of fours. Two hands later, Tripp was all in for 1,932,224 with two nines while "Jimmy2009" had ace-queen. An ace spiked on the river to give "Jimmy2009" the title and $2,554.09 top prize.

Event 40-H: $200 NLHE [7-Max, Progressive KO, Monday Cooldown SE]

Team PokerStars Pro Arlie "Prince Pablo" Shaban navigated his way through a field of 140 entries to reach the seven-handed final table of Event 40-H: $200 NLHE [7-Max, Progressive KO, Monday Cooldown SE]. Shaban was in second place on the chip leaderboard, right behind "L3G3NDA1RY"'s 1,363,559.

Patrick "Egption" Tardif was the first casualty after running into a massive cooler. On a king-high flop, Tardif bet 49,815 and was called by "Legiit4." The turn was an ace and Tardif bet another 132,840. "Legiit4" again called to see another ace fall on the river. Tardif bet 265,680 and "Legiit4" shoved. Tardif called for 763,160 with kings for a flopped set that turned into a full house. "Legiit4" showed ace-queen for a running full house to win the 2,500,000 chip pot and eliminate Tardif in seventh place.

"7SettBello7" soon joined him after shoving for 215,406. "all3y_k" called and both players flopped two pair, but "all3y_k" made aces and tens on the river to eliminate "7SettBello7" in sixth.

A three-way all in would soon see "L3G3NDA1RY" take the chip lead. "windexxxx" opened the action by moving all in for 123,448. "L3G3NDA1RY" reshoved for 1,226,109 and "Legiit4" called to put both players at risk. "windexxxx" flopped trips with king-ten and finished with a full house on the river to triple up, while "L3G3NDA1RY" beat two fours with ace-eight to take the side pot and climb over 2,000,000.

"ally3y_K" took some of those chips after three-bet shoving for 934,563. "L3G3NDA1RY" called with five-four, while "all3y_k" had ace-king and flopped an ace to double up. "ally3y_k" took the chip lead after winning a 1,000,000 pot off "windexxxx" with a pair of queens.

Shaban's run ended in fifth place after he shoved for 592,475 from the big blind. "Legiit4" called with king queen while Shaban showed ace-ten. "Legiit4" hit a queen on the turn to win the pot and eliminate the popular Twitch streamer.

"windexxxx" was next to fall after moving all in on the flop for 214,188 as "L3G3NDA1RY" called with a pair of sevens to beat a pair of fours.

A massive three-way all in would determine the outcome of the tournament. "all3y_k" raised to 100,000 before "L3G3NDA1RY" moved all in for 1,229,803. "Legiit4" reshoved for 2,278,021 and "all3y_k" called to put both players at risk with a chance to end the tournament. "all3y_k" had ace-king, 'L3G3NDA1RY" ace-queen, and "Legiit4" two tens. The tens held up as "Legiit4" eliminated "L3G3NDA1RY" in third place and doubled up thru "all3y_k" to take a massive chip lead into heads-up.

On the third hand of heads-up, "all3y_k" shoved for 1,103,155 with jacks and "Legiit4" called with ace-queen. "Legiit4" turned an ace to take the lead and held on to win the pot and the title.

Patrick Claims First ONCOOP Title; Tripp Falls Short of Third on Day 8

Mike Patrick
Mike Patrick

PokerNews's own Mike "Patty98" Patrick became a PokerStars Ontario Championship of Online Poker champion on Day 8 of the inaugural ONCOOP after winning Event 29-L: $20 NLO8 [7-Max, Progressive KO].

Event 29-L: $20 NLO8 [7-Max, Progressive KO]

Patrick navigated his way through a starting field of 178 entries and was in third place at the start of the seven-handed final table with 510,388, behind chip leader "tgson" with 1,321,246.

"tgson" extended their chip lead when "va1umart," down to 293,599, moved all in and "tgson" called. "tgson" turned the nut straight with a seven-five low to scoop the pot and send "va1umart" out as the first casualty of the final table.

Patrick claimed the next three bounties at the final table. First, "ShaunnieG" shoved for 163,118, Patrick reshoved, and the rest of the table got out of the way. Patrick's two aces stayed in front to bust "ShaunnieG" in sixth place. "Islandrob" had just 94,042, good for three big blinds, when they got their last chips in and Patrick called in the big blind. Patrick rivered a flush with an eight-six to scoop the pot and knock out another player.

Finally, "ChuaSun" was all in for 282,006 and Patrick made trip deuces to claim yet another bounty. The next hand, he called a bet of 218,250 on the river with three tens showing. "tgson" had pocket queens for tens full of queens, but Patrick showed two kings for tens full of kings to take the pot and the chip lead three-handed.

"lauren053" was the first to cross 2,000,000 after Patrick bet 120,000 on a king-high board with two diamonds. "lauren053" raised to 280,000 and Patrick called before both players checked the river, "lauren053" taking the pot with kings and jacks to beat Patrick"s busted flush draw.

"tgson" jumped back into the lead after three-betting to 360,000 pre-flop and receiving a call from "lauren053." "tgson" continued for 461,250 on the flop and "lauren053" folded as "tgson" moved past 2,000,000. "lauren053" then raised to 180,000 from the big blind and Patrick called. The flop came ace-high and "lauren053" got their last 349,663 in the middle. Patrick called as "lauren053" revealed aces for top set. Patrick, though, rivered a straight to win the pot and eliminate the one-time chip leader in third place.

"tgson" led 2,845,845 to 1,604,155 at the start of heads-up play, but that lead would be short-lived. On the second hand, "tgson" bet 270,000 on the river, Patrick raised to 660,000, and "tgson" called. Patrick showed a straight to win the 1,600,000 chip pot and move into the lead.

On what would be the last hand of the tournament, "tgson" bet 375,000 on a king-high board and Patrick called to the river. "tgson" bet another 930,000, Patrick shoved, and "tgson" called all in for 535,845. "tgson" had two eights for a set, but Patrick had jack-ten for the nut straight to win the tournament.

"I was just saying repeatedly, please have a set and call, please have a set and call. And fortunately, he did," Patrick said following his win.

"It's been kind of tough to be a mixed game player in Ontario since we went into the ring fence, but I love that PokerStars put this series together to give players a chance to win prestigious events and to introduce new players to the joy of mixed games. And, yeah, it feels amazing to win one of them."

Event 27-L: $20 NLHE [7-Max, Progressive KO, Mini Fat Saturday]

Steve "BetrThanPhil" Tripp was looking for his third title of the series and second in as many days as he took a massive chip lead when the starting field of 384 in Event 27-L: $20 NLHE [7-Max, Progressive KO, Mini Fat Saturday] was reduced to just five players.

"bigblazer879" narrowed the gap when they bet 90,000 on a king-high flop. "Stuey_Ungar2" raised to 378,000 and "bigblazer879" called. Both players checked the turn before an ace fell on the river. "bigblazer879" shoved and "Stuey-Ungar2" called for their last 1,077,177, showing ace-three for two pair, aces and deuces. "bigblazer879," though, had ace-four for aces and fours as "Stuey-Ungar2" was eliminated in fifth place.

Tripp still led the remaining four players with 3,883,545, followed by "bigblazer879" with 3,693,121, "J23oe" with 1,448,714, and "Killer CarmB" with 574,620. "Killer CarmB" moved up to more than 1,000,000 when they shoved the flop and "bigblazer879" called with ace-four for the flopped wheel. "Killer CarmB" had two sixes and made a higher straight on the turn with a four to double up.

Tripp won a race with jacks against ace-king to knock out "J23oe" in fourth place before "bigblazer879" got their chips back from "Killer CarmB." "bigblazer879" was all in for 1,703,711 with king-ten against ace-jack and turned a king to double up and take the chip lead.

"Killer CarmB" was left with just 298,769 and was eliminated two hands later as "bigblazer879" made trips with ace-queen. Tripp led 5,343,009 to 4,256,991 at the start of heads-up play, but on the second hand, "bigblazer879" bet 1,023,000 on an ace-high board and got a fold in a 1,800,000 chip pot to jump back into the lead.

The next hand, Tripp bet 231,570 on a board with two kings. "bigblazer879" raised to 823,140 and Tripp called. "bigblazer879" bet another 1,080,000 on the river and Tripp called with ace-king for trips. "bigblazer879" could only show ten-eight for a bluff as Tripp retook a big chip lead.

On a king-high flop, "bigblazer879" raised to 364,140 and Tripp called. He called another bet of 660,000 on the turn before "bigblazer879" shoved for 2,293,461 when the river came a queen. Tripp gave up his hand as "bigblazer879" pulled back to nearly even in chips.

"bigblazer879" took the lead after picking off a big bluff with ace-high, then extended their advantage by winning a 2,300,000 chip pot with a pair of eights. On the final hand, "bigblazer879" bet 80,000 on an ace-high flop. Tripp raised to 240,000, "bigblazer879" reraised to 640,000, and Tripp moved all in for 2,668,114. "bigblazer879" called with aces for top set, while Tripp had a straight draw. The board paired on the turn to give "bigblazer879" a full house and leave Tripp drawing dead, his run at a third ONCOOP title falling just short.

"TeeWee55" Goes Wire-to-Wire in the High Roller; "92c92m" Captures Second ONCOOP Title

TeeWee55 wins the High Roller
TeeWee55 wins the High Roller

"TeeWee55" finished in second place in Event 16 early in the PokerStars Ontario Championship of Online Poker and waited until Day 7 to get another chance at earning their first title.

Event 20-H: $1,000 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO, Thursday Thrill - High Roller]

Action resumed in Event 20-H: $1,000 NLHE [8-Max, Progressive KO, Thursday Thrill - High Roller] with nine players remaining out of a starting field of 64 entries. The bubble burst as Patrick "Egption" Tardif andLuke "Bananazoo" Chiciak fell short of making it to the final seven.

Jeffrey "Jefffrr8" Reardon was the first to bust out in the money as "TeeWee55" maintained the chip lead they began the day with, followed by "bean3008" and "Playmaker66" joining them above 1,000,000. After "Jaypids" raised to 60,000, "youaremelon" three-bet to 270,000, leaving 113,614 behind. "Jaypids" moved all in and "youaremelon called with kings. "Jaypids" showed two aces and held on to knock out "youaremelon in sixth place, taking their own place in the 1,000,000-chip club.

"TeeWee55" separated from the back after "bean3008" bet 301,775 on a queen-high board. "TeeWee55" called to create a 1,700,000 chip pot and both players checked the river as "TeeWee55" showed jacks to climb above 3,000,000.

A few hands later, Timothy "TruthBeTold7" Rutherford, already a two-time ONCOOP champion, got his last 306,022 in against "Jaypids" but was dominated with ace-six against ace-jack. "Jaypids" flopped a pair of jacks and turned two pair to leave Rutherford drawing dead and having to settle for fifth place.

"Jaypids" was the next to fall, going heads-up against "TeeWee55" on a flop of two jacks. Both players checked as a nine fell on the turn. "Jaypids" bet 299,000, "TeeWee55" raised all in, and "Jaypids called for 51,612 with king-jack for trips. "TeeWee55," though," had king-queen for a turned straight to bust "Jaypids in fourth.

"Playmaker66" and "bean3008" saw a king-high flop as "Playmaker66" bet 72,000. "bean3008 called, then called another bet of 198,000 on the turn. "bean3008" led out for 311,275 on the river and "Playmaker66" shoved for 639,154. "bean3008 called with king-jack for top pair, while "Playmaker66" could only show queen-nine for a bluff to fall in third place.

"TeeWee55" maintained the chip lead going to heads-up, holding 3,953,343 to "bean3008"'s 2,446,657. "bean3008" won a 1,000,000 chip pot after "TeeWee55" folded to a bet of 456,895 on the river to take the chip lead. "TeeWee55" took down their own 1,026,256 pot after "bean3008" called for 251,328 on the river and "TeeWee55" showed a pair of queens.

"TeeWee55" extended their advantage when "bean3008" thre-bet to 378,000 pre-flop, then continued for 403,930 on a queen-high flop. A third heart fell on the turn and "bean3008" bet another 793,239. "TeeWee55" moved all in and "bean3008," with 870,116 remaining, went into their time bank before folding.

A few hands later, "bean3008" called all in with jack-seven while "TeeWee55" showed ace-eight. Neither player connected with the board and "TeeWee55" won the pot, and the tournament, with ace-high.

Event 23-H: $300 NLHE [6-Max]

"TeeWee55" was back at a final table and chasing a second ONCOOP title on Day 7 in Event 23-H: $300 NLHE [6-Max].

"92c92m" led with 1,401,858 after the starting field of 95 was reduced to the final table of six. "TeeWee55" was in second place with 967,410.

"JustShiper" shoved for 187,792 and "nish#1" called in the big blind with two threes, flopping a set to take down ace-four and make "JustShiper the first bust out of the final table. Two more big pots catapulted "nish#1" into the chip lead.

First, they doubled up for 630,274 with kings against the tens of "92c92m." They then eliminated "JohnSnowing" in a 1,300,000 chip pot by cracking aces with a rivered flush.

"TeeWee55"'s bid for another title on the day would end at the hands of "Mearrrrl," who raised to 70,000 before "TeeWee55" shoved in the small blind for 673,975. "Mearrrrl" called with ace-jack and beat ace-seven to knock out "TeeWee55" in fourth place.

The surviving three players would then engage in a lengthy, back-and-forth battle before reaching heads-up. In a blind versus blind confrontation, "92c92m" moved all in and "nish#1" called for 916,879 with queen-eight. They flopped a queen to beat "92c92m"'s seven-six and double up. Then it was "92c92m"'s turn to double after making a straight with five-nine.

"92c92m" won another 600,000 chip pot when "Mearrrrl" folded to a bet of 296,055 on an eight-high board as the three players were virtually tied in chips. Two hands later, "nish#1" limped from the small blind and "Mearrrrl" raised to 210,000. "nish#1" called as the flop came six-high. "nish#1" moved all in for 1,475,320 and "Mearrrrl," having them barely covered, called with aces. "nish#1" showed nine-seven for a straight draw and completed it when the turn brought a four. "Mearrrrl" was left with just 8,484 and was eliminated the next hand as "nish#1" took a 3,469,124 to 1,280,876 chip lead into heads-up.

"92c92m" doubled up after calling all in for 1,380,776 with ace-jack and winning a coin flip against sevens to take the chip lead. A few hands later, "nish#1" moved all in for 1,678,548 with ten-four and "92c92m" called with ace-queen. "92c92m" hit two pair by the turn and took down their second ONCOOP title after winning Event 9 earlier in the series.

Shaban Wins Again; "neclord-doom" Survives Marathon Heads-Up Duel to Win Mixed Game Title

Arlie Shaban
Arlie Shaban

Team PokerStars Pro and Twitch streamer Arlie "Prince Pablo" Shaban earned his second PokerStars Ontario Championship of Online Poker (ONCOOP) title on Day 6, while "neclord-doom," who won the Razz title on Day 5, was back at a final table today seeking to establish their mixed game dominance.

Event 22-H: $300 NLHE [7-Max, Progressive KO, Thursday Thrill SE]

A total of 93 entries took to the virtual felt in Event 22-H: $300 NLHE [7-Max, Progressive KO, Thursday Thrill SE], creating a prize pool of $32,000.

Shaban was the massive chip leader at the start of the seven-handed final table, having 300,000 more than his closest challenger. "complx" sat out before blinding off to finish in seventh place. "yukeepplayin" would soon join the rail, shoving 172,751 from the button. Shaban called in the big blind with king-three and beat "yukeepplayin"'s ace-jack after hitting a three on the fop.

Shaban was running away with the tournament, but "dsquirrels" soon brought him closer to the pack. They picked off a bluff from two-time ONCOOP champion Timothy "TruthBeTold7" Rutherford with a pair of tens in a 377,000 chip pot to draw level with Shaban. "dsquirrels" then took the chip lead after Michael "WalmartCNXN" Farrow three-bet shoved for 355,977 from the big blind with ace-four. "dsquirrels" called with two aces and, despite Farrow flopping the nut flush draw, won the pot and took the chip lead as Farrow was eliminated in fifth.

"Legiit4" knocked Shaban down to third place on the leaderboard, shoving all in for 703,690 on the river after Shaban bet 150,000. Shaban gave up his hand to drop down below 1,000,000, but would climb back up shortly after when Rutherford moved all in for 438,978 on the river with a pair of fives and Shaban called with a pair of aces.

On the next hand, "Legiit4" bet 255,000 on the turn with the board showing ace-king-high. Shaban called as the river brought another king. Shaban this time led out for 420,000 and drew a fold from his opponent to approach 2,000,000. "Legiit4" then shoved from the small blind for 926,954 with king-jack and Shaban called on the button with ace-ten. Shaban held on to win the 1,900,000 chip pot, knocking out "Legiit4" in third and taking a 2,997,049 to 1,652,951 lead over "dsquirrels" into heads-up play.

Both players began heads-up more than 40 big blinds deep, but it would last just three hands. "dsquirrels" raised to 70,000, Shaban three-bet to 280,000, and "dsquirrels" moved all in for 1,665,951. Shaban called with ace-king and had the ace-ten of "dsquirrels" dominated. Shaban turned the nut flush and left "dsquirrels" drawing dead to win his second ONCOOP title.

Event 21-H: $200 8-Game

Mixed game specialists got their turn to chase an ONCOOP title on Day 6 with Event 21-H: $200 8-Game. The event drew 48 entries as Giancarlo "thepokerlife" Santolin took the lead over the final six players.

"sumsmart66" was the first to exit the final table, getting their last 92,114 in the middle on the second draw in a pot of 2-7 Triple Draw. "neclord-doom" called and finished with an eight-seven, beating "sumsmart66"'s ten-eight.

"Desslock," down to just 22,315, moved all in during an Omaha Hi-Lo round and watched as "neclord-doom" and Santolin split the pot to send them to the virtual rail in fifth place. Santolin was then knocked down to just 68,598 after losing a three-way pot as "neclord-doom" scooped with a flush. The former chip leader was eliminated shortly afterward as all four players went to fifth street in a hand of Razz, with "Feath21" winning with six-five to cross 1,000,000.

"One ate svn" and "neclord-doom" clashed in a hand of Omaha that would set up a heads-up match. "neclord-doom" bet 15,000 on a king-high flop, "One ate svn" raised to 75,000, "neclord-doom" came back with a raise to 255,000, and "One ate svn" called all in for 68,777 with top pair. "neclord-doom" had two pair, nines and threes, and improved to nines and sixes by the river to win the pot. "One ate svn" had to settle for third place as "neclord-doom" took a commanding 1,971,145 to 428,885 lead into heads-up.

"Feath21" won a series of pots to narrow the gap before scooping a 800,000 chip Omaha Hi-Lo hand with a flush and six-low to take the chip lead. "Feath"21" then won a 576,000 pot in Razz with a nine-low to a ten-low as the Event 3 champion was now the one with a big chip lead.

"neclord-doom" climbed back in this back-and-forth heads-up battle after winning a 720,000 pot in Seven Card Stud, betting on sixth street with a pair of threes showing and getting "Feath21" to fold a pair of eights. Finally, after more than an hour of heads-up play, the two opponents clashed in a massive pot that would settle the tournament.

In No-Limit Hold'em, "Feath21" raised to 63,000, "neclord-doom" reraised to 176,556, and "Feath21" moved all in for 1,008,493. "neclord-doom" called with ace-king and was up against two nines. The flop brought two aces to give "neclord-doom" trips, and they hit a king on the river to finish with a full house and win their second ONCOOP title in the last two days.

Rutherford, "Sesh-Man" Capture Second ONCOOP Titles

Timothy Rutherford
Timothy Rutherford

Day 5 of the inaugural PokerStars Ontario Championship of Online Poker (ONCOOP) saw two players earn their second titles of the series.

Event 14-H: $2,000 NLHE [8-Max, Super Tuesday - High Roller]

Play resumed in Event 14-H: $2,000 NLHE [8-Max, Super Tuesday - High Roller] with nine players remaining out of a starting field of 42.

Only five would make the money, and it took more than two hours before Giancarlo "thepokerlife" Santolin, down to 158,236, shoved with two nines and was called by Timothy "TruthBeTold7" Rutherford holding ace-nine. An ace on the river sent Santolin to the virtual rail as the bubble boy and guaranteed the five remaining players $5,790.48.

On the next hand after the bubble burst, chip leader "bluetwopac" three-bet to 137,500 before Patrick "Egption" Tardif moved all in for 250,750. "bluetwopac" called with king-five and Tardif showed ace-jack. "bluetwopac" flopped two pair and sent the popular Twitch streamer out in fifth place.

In a heads-up pot between Rutherford and Ryan "Ristokat" Riske, Riske shoved the river for 617,224 with a pair of aces but Rutherford had two pair, aces and nines, to take a massive pot. Riske was knocked down to less than one big blind and was eliminated in fourth shortly afterward.

"bluetwopac," who began the day as a massive chip leader, was the next to fall. "L3G3NDA1RY" limped in and "bluetwopac" shoved for 407,860. "L3G3NDA1RY" called with queen-ten while "bluetwopac" was ahead with ace-seven and needed to hold on to survive. "L3G3NDA1RY" flopped the nut straight, and while "bluetwopac" picked up a flush draw on the turn, they improved no further and was eliminated in third.

"L3G3NDA1RY" led 2,688,798 to Rutherford's 1,511,202 at the start of heads-up play, but Rutherford would take a big pot after shoving on the river for 1,622,752. "L3G3NDA1RY" went into their time bank before folding as Rutherford climbed above 3,000,000. "L3G3NDA1RY" earned a double up after moving all in for 685,948 with two fives against queen-jack. Rutherford flopped an open-ended straight draw to go with his two overcards but missed the turn and river.

"L3G3NDA1RY" doubled up again after shoving the river for 501,756. Rutherford tanked for a moment before calling with a pair of fives, but "L3G3NDA1RY" showed jack-seven for two pair and pulled virtually even in chips. But it wouldn't take long before they clashed in a massive pot that determined the outcome of the tournament.

"L3G3NDA1RY" bet 100,800 on an ace-high flop with two spades and Rutherford called. The turn brought another spade and Rutherford check-called a bet of 359,200. "L3G3NDA1RY" moved all in for 1,250,905 on the river and Rutherford called. "L3G3NDA1RY" had ace-king for top two pair, but Rutherford showed six-four of spades for the flush, adding another ONCOOP title to the one he earned in Event 7.

Event 19-H: $100 NLHE [6-Max, Turbo, Progressive KO]

"Sesh-Man," winner of Event 10, soon joined Rutherford with multiple ONCOOP titles after outlasting a field of 154 entries in Event 19-H: $100 NLHE [6-Max, Turbo, Progressive KO].

At the start of the final table, "Sesh-Man" was second in chips behind Santolin but soon took the chip lead thanks to a little good fortune. "PAEME" was all in for 586,215 against "Sesh-Man" as both players showed two jacks. "Sesh-Man," though, made a club flush to send out "PAEME" in sixth place.

"poolhaller" doubled up through "Sesh-Man" with a full house, but would again be all in the next hand for 742,808 with ace-nine against "molupton"'s king-queen. "molupton" hit a king on the flop and "poolhaller" was eliminated in fifth.

Santolin, chip leader at the start of the final table, ended up tangling with "Sesh-Man" in a pot that ended with his elimination and left "Sesh-Man" with a massive lead three-handed. Santolin raised to 175,000 pre-flop, then called all in for 1,025,091 after "Sesh-Man jammed. Santolin had ace-ten but was dominated by ace-king. He took the lead with a ten on the flop, but "Sesh-Man" made the nut straight on the turn to score the knockout.

"molupton" closed the gap by doubling up for 642,427 with a pair of aces, dodging "Sesh-Man"'s flush draw. They then won another 1,100,000 chip pot after "Sesh-Man" called a bet of 420,000 on the river and "molupton" showed a nut flush.

"molupton"'s rise would soon be halted by "Thief," who called all in for 905,490 with aces and beat "molupton"'s jacks. Knocked down to 400,856, just over four big blinds, "molupton" shoved the next hand with queen-seven but couldn't beat "Sesh-Man"'s ace-four to hit the rail as the third-place finisher.

"Sesh-Man" led 4,891,520 to 2,808,480 at the start of heads-up play, which only lasted a few hands before "Thief" called an all-in shove for their last 1,283,480 with queens. "Sesh-Man" had king-three and turned a king to jump into the lead. A harmless river gave "Sesh-Man" another ONCOOP title.
