Event #38: $200 NLHE Sunday Special SE, $100K Gtd
Day 1 Completed
It's been a good week for Michael "fubadbeatbob" McNicholas at the 2021 PACOOP. On Wednesday, McNicholas finished third in the $250 Six-Max Championships, earning $6,046 for his efforts. On Sunday, he upped that by two spots, taking home his second PACOOP title in Event #38: $200 NLHE Sunday Special SE, $100K Gtd, along with $18,529 in prize money.
He previously topped a 144-entry field to win Event #13: $500 NLH [6-Max, High Roller], $50K GTD for $14,277.25.
Here is how the final table played out in this massive 564 player event, that had a final prize pool of $104,904.

1 | Michael "fubadbeatbob" McNicholas | $18,529 |
2 | "ecerille" | $13,399 |

5 | "JonCaron215" | $5,068 |
6 | "hbekanich" | $3,665 |

Jennifer Shahade was an early chip leader in this event, and she would end up making the money, ultimately bowing out in 28th place just before the final three tables. Other notables who made the money tonight, but missed the final table, included Matt "Thewhitesmith" McNeil (43rd) and Barrett "AndrewYang2020" Lipkin (13th).
McNicholas started the final table as one of the bigger stacks, but he would quickly take a massive lead over the field after this hand, where a flush was dealt on the board. McNicholas had slowplayed the until the river, where he got a huge bet paid off.
Not long after that, McNicholas would knock out start of final table chip leader "StarChaser420", in a roller coaster hand that saw the lead switch multiple times by the river.
McNicholas would take a bit of a break from the action before he scored another knockout, busting "JonCaron215" in fifth place. McNicholas had to come from behind in this hand, getting it in with a weak ace, but making a straight by the river to better his opponent's ace-queen.
McNicholas wouldn't take his foot off the gas from there, raising virtually every pot, and knocking out his final three opponents in quick succession. McNicholas played the final table like a seasoned veteran, though he appears to be fairly new onto the poker scene, with just over $75,000 in live earnings. A majority of that came in a 12th place finish at the WPT Main Event at the Venetian in March. However, McNicholas did have the experience of the aforementioned previous PACOOP final table to work on, and that surely came into handy tonight.
Don't forget that there are more big final tables coming your way here at PokerNews, and you can view the remaining PACOOP schedule below. The action will pick back up again on Thursday, September 23rd, at 7 PM ET, so be sure to come back here then for all of your updates. Until then, good night everyone!
