Event #29-H: $300 NLHE (PKO, Thursday Thrill SE) $40K GTD

Day 1 Completed

“hashtagmtglife” Crushes Final Table in Event #29-H: $300 NLHE (PKO, Thursday Thrill SE) $40K GTD

The final table of tonight's Thursday Thrill event was simply dominated from start to finish by “hashtagmtglife." They claimed six of the eight possible eliminations at the final table. As a result, they took home over three times the amount of money as anyone else, thanks to them collecting over $11,000 in Progressive Bounties.

"hashtagmtglife" started the final table second in chips, and they claimed the first elimination of the final table when they busted “outaahere” in ninth place. “Outaahere” got their final chips in after the flop with a flush draw, straight draw, and over cards, but none of them would come through, sending them home in ninth.

Next, there was a double elimination, with “hashtagmtglife” once again doing the dirty work. This time, their pocket queens held up in a three way all in against the jacks of “49642”, and Ace-King of “CancelChristmas.”

“Hashtagmtglife” kept their winning ways going with another knockout, this time of “Paulie_Card$” in sixth place. The latter was in great shape to double up preflop, but by the river, “hashtagmtglife” had made quads queens to claim yet another bounty.

Next, it was time for “MrMonkeyJones” to join the knockout action. They would have to come from behind, as their {a-Spades}{4-Spades} caught up with the Ace-Nine of “jeroh07” after flopping a pair of fours. No nine would come from there, getting play down to just four handed.

Fourth place would end up belonging to "StormRider7777", busting with Ace-Queen to the pocket kings of "ChrundleTheGr8."

The “hashtagmtglife” show continued from there however. First, they would once again come from behind, when their Ace-Eight bested the Ace-Ten of “MrMonkeyJones.”

“hashtagmtglife” began heads up play with a massive lead, and it only took a few hands for them to close it out in dramatic fashion. "ChrundleTheGr8" was all but guaranteed a key double up when they got their final chips in the middle with a set of sevens on the turn, but “hashtagmtglife” managed to hit their four out straight draw to claim the final bounty of the event.

“ChrundleTheGr8” Eliminated in 2nd Place ($4,673.48 + $787.50 in bounties)

Level 29 (20,000/40,000/5,000)

“ChrundleTheGr8” limped on the button, and “hashtagmtglife” checked their option. The flop of {9-Spades}{7-Spades}{3-Diamonds} saw “hashtagmtglife” check to “ChrundleTheGr8”, who bet 40,000. “hashtagmtglife” raised to 125,000, and “ChrundleTheGr8” called.

The {j-Clubs} turn saw “hashtagmtglife” shove all in, and “ChrundleTheGr8" quickly called all in for less with {7-Clubs}{7-Diamonds} for middle set. "hashtagmtglife” showed just {10-Hearts}{3-Spades}, meaning an eight and an eight only would win the pot, and the tournament.

Sure enough, the {8-Diamonds} slammed down on the river, putting an exclamation point on a dominant performance from “hashtagmtglife." “ChrundleTheGr8” earned nearly $5,500 for this result, but “hashtagmtglife” walked away with a huge chunk of the prizepool earning over $18,000 in total.

Stay tuned for a full recap of “hashtagmtglife"'s dominating performance!

“MrMonkeyJones” Eliminated in 3rd Place ($3,493.36 + $1,448.13 in bounties)

Level 28 (15,000/30,000/3,750)

“MrMonkeyJones” raised to 60,000 in the small blind, and “hashtagmtglife” moved all in, having “MrMonkeyJones” covered, They called it off with {a-Clubs}{10-Hearts} and they were in good shape for a massive double up against the {a-Spades}{8-Hearts} of “hashtagmtglife."

However, the flop of {k-Spades}{q-Spades}{8-Spades} smashed “hashtagmtglife”, giving him a leading pair, and the nut flush draw. By the river, “hashtagmtglife” would have a full house, getting us to heads up play just like that!

“StormRider7777” Eliminated in 4th Place ($2,611.24 + $70 in bounties)

Level 28 (15,000/30,000/3,750)

“StormRider7777” made it 105,000 to go from under the gun, and in the big blind, "ChrundleTheGr8" moved all in for their final 583,000. “StormRider7777” called for less with {a-Diamonds}{q-Clubs}, but they were in rough shape against the pocket kings of "ChrundleTheGr8."

Both players hit the flop of {a-Spades}{k-Spades}{4-Spades}, and since niether player had a spade, “StormRider7777” was left drawing dead after the turn. Just three players remain now!

“jeroh07” Eliminated in 5th Place ($1,951.87 + $761.25 in bounties)

Level 28 (15,000/30,0003,750)

"MrMonkeyJones" raised to 90,000 on the button, and from the big blind, “jeroh07” moved all in for their final 268,715. "MrMonkeyJones" put them at risk holding {a-Spades}{4-Spades}, and they were trailing the {a-Hearts}{9-Diamonds} of "jeroh07."

However, that all changed after the {5-Hearts}{4-Clubs}{3-Hearts} flop gave "MrMonkeyJones" a leading pair of fours. An ace on the turn gave "jeroh07" some extra outs, but the river {6-Spades} was not one of them.

“Paulie_Card$” Eliminated in 6th Place ($1,458.99 + $910 in bounties)

Level 27 (12,500/25,000/3,250)

After it folded to "hashtagmtglife" on the button, they moved in, having both blinds easily covered. “Paulie_Card$” made a big call for their final 794,000 in the big blind holding pocket jacks, and they were in great shape to double against the {q-Hearts}{j-Clubs} of "hashtagmtglife."

However, a queen came right on the flop, and another on the turn left "Paulie_Card$" drawing dead. The case queen on the river rubbed some salt in the wounds, sending "Paulie_Card$" to the rail in sixth.

"ChrundleTheGr8" Doubles With Aces

Level 26 (10,000/20,000/2,500)

"MrMonkeyJones" raised to 52,000, and "jeroh07" called on the button. In the big blind, "ChrundleTheGr8" moved all in for their final 260,000. "MrMonkeyJones" folded, but "jeroh07" made the call with {j-Spades}{10-Spades}. "ChrundleTheGr8" was in great shape to double, and the hand all but ended after the flop came down {a-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{3-Clubs}. To rub some salt in the wounds, the turn and river gave "jeroh07" a useless two pair, as "ChrundleTheGr8" more than doubled up with the set of aces.

River Saves "StormRider7777"

Level 26 (10,000/20,000/2,500)

Short stack "StormRider7777" moved all in for their final 234,000, and in the big blind, "jeroh07" had woken up with pocket kings, and made the call. The flop of {9-Spades}{6-Spades}{4-Spades} gave "StormRider7777" the nut flush draw, but he wouldn't need it, as the river brought the {a-Hearts} to give them a winning pair of aces, saving their tournament life.
