After just over eight hours on Day 1 of the 2020 PokerStars Stadium Series Freezeout Weekly Final - High: $1,050 NLHE has come to an end with 159 players out of a 1,347-strong field making it through to Day 2. The $1,500,000 guaranteed prize pool didn't surpass its guarantee, bringing extra value to all players who participated in the tournament.

Claiming the Day 1 chip lead is no stranger to the online poker world, Luan "Pseudo Fruto" Felipe with 3,166,069 in chips. He is followed by another familiar name to the people who have been following the tournaments on PokerStars. Marc-Andre "FrenchDawg" Ladouceur, the former Team Online pro, will return for Day 2 with 3,024,658 in front of him. And closing out the podium is "Valenoze" with 2,840,308.

Completing the top five in the counts are Tatiana "Mysters_Y" Barausova (2,751,930) and Marc "14alonso14" Macdonnell (2,261,064). But there are still many more familiar names who will be back on Monday, players like Vlada "Vlada2108" Stojanovic, Damian "pampa27" Salas, Alisson "heyalisson" Piekazewicz, Renato "bauruzito" Valentim, Teun "tinnoemulder" Mulder, Sebastian "sebasnato" Toro, Daniel "Razer2311" Rezaei, Christian "eisenhower1" Jeppsson, Dinesh "nastyminder" Alt, and Marc "Rowniwn" Radgen all made it into the top 30 of the leader board.

PokerStars Team Online members and streamers Lex "L. Veldhuis" Veldhuis (882,947) and Ben "Spraggy" Spraggg (350,008) are the only ones from the team to go through to the next stage. Brian "TrueGeordieTG" Davis is one of the YouTubers who has been invited to play the Finals and made Day 2 but is one of the shorter stacks with 172,594 in chips.

"P0KERPR02.0" was the one who was responsible for bringing the day to an end in Level 22 when there were 160 players left and most tables were on hold to wait for the hand-for-hand stage of the tournament. They shoved when "blkcrow" had raised and the latter put their tournament life at risk while holding aces. "P0KERPR02.0" held ace-jack and hit the runner-runner flush to burst the bubble and send the rest of the field to their beds to rest up before they battle it out for a bigger share of the prize pool on Day 2.

When the players return on Monday, July 20 at 7:05 CEST, they will finish the remainder of Level 22 which features a small blind of 12,500, big blind of 25,000, and a running ante of 3,250. Level duration will remain at 20 minutes until there are 40 players left and then increased. Play will continue until the final table of nine players has been reached.

PokerNews will be back to bring you all the thrills and frills of Day 2 so make sure to return.
